Love your videos. I'm a guy who loves little gimmicks and tricks and nobody else seems to bring them up in reviews. Like the puddle lights or the dimmable interior lights. Glad to have found this channel.
You can actaully Udjust ur lighting in the pockets holders too to match the ones on top ! U just need to go to the settings and there’s 4 differnt ways you can set up the lighting 👍🏼

The lighting is really good on the latest VW products. We have similar lighting on our new ID.4 but along with auto-leveling and corner lights, our headlights also turn with the steering wheel left and right. It’s all around a fantastic setup. Great video.

I like the rear switchback turn signals between red and amber
So the reason the LEDs were so bright when you only had the parking lights on was that they were at DRL brightness due to there being no other lights on (fog or low beam). This has been pretty common on US spec cars, also VWs previously didn’t even have a separate parking light setting (hence people installing a “euroswitch” in order to run fog lights without headlights on). My 08 Audi did the same thing. When I set it to parking lights, the DRLs were still on until I turned on the fog lights. I used VCDS to change the location setting to RoW and then it behaved more like expected.
Absolutely! Also, using drl + side marks + tail lights can be used as Norwegian DRL mode as cars there running drl in this weird way.

Seems like a pretty odd place to put the front and rear defroster. Not a big fan of the ergonomics of this interior either. I think the previous GEN looks much better and is a little bit more user-friendly. Great video Mike!

The interior really makes a ton of sense once you live with it for a few days. I was skeptical at first, but wouldn’t go back after having the car for almost a month.
Was hoping to find out how to DIM instrument cluster lights.
Just found your video. Very well done. Are the controls for temperature, heated seats, etc lit? In cold northern climates that matters.
this headlight system have ability to do the matrix trick, but sadly it's deactivated in the US😢
Why don't you show that there is no lighting for the Hvac controls? So, if you want to see them you have to have a little flashlight, boy that's real convenient isn't it. If there aren't enough things to distract drivers, well now there is more.
How dim are the dash and infotainment in lowest brightness? are they intrusive (especially the black levels) while driving on a dark road at night?
How is the reliability on these cars? I have been looking at the VW Jetta S model, but many of my friends tell me to stay away from VW.
For those VW owners what do you guys think?
I have a 2017 GTI since new and no issues. Maintenance has been kept up to date with oil changes every 5K miles. I can only vouch for my experience.
Color one is on the top and color two is on the bottom. Just like the screen tells you lol.
hey Mike- i know its been a while since u reviewed ‘22 civic touring-- did it seem- relatively quiet- to you--??-- ive only been able to test drive the lower trim levels and they seem LOUD -(rumor has it Trg. has more sound-deadening)…..

@@MikesCarInfo Do the lights also swivel or just auto-level? I.e.: do they turn with the steering wheel? OR is that only on the Autobahn Performance pack?
It's bizzare how US regulations allow for red turn signals. The brake + turn signal lights look so much better in non-us markets.
The rear turn signals are amber.
@@strker99 I missed that, but then they double as the brake lights as well? Bizarre, not how these tailights operate in other markets at all.
@@lamborghini0610 Correct they kind of act like a dual filament bulb does. The signals will be amber and the break lights will be red. North America have different regulations which is why we don't get the tail lights the rest of the world gets for the GTI.
@@lamborghini0610 Ikr it's amazing they actually get real engineers to deliberately and concisely program brake lights to actually disable when a turn signal turns on
