They tried to push this black friday thing around the world. Did not take that well.
Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is a much smaller holiday that occurs in early October, so there is no leisure time to support Black Friday shopping. BF is called Vendredi Fou (Crazy Friday) in Québec. The sales offerings are no longer worthwhile, so it's dead here as well.

I used to like Radio Shack on Black Friday. They tried hard to be like the others with great deals but nobody went there so it was easy in and out.
They created black friday sales so I guess they are entitled to destroy it.
I will never forget waiting in line an hour early and I was the second person in line.two years later people were camping out for a day or two.
One thing you also forgot to mention was the addition of other "Black Friday like" events throughout the year like Amazon Prime Days also took a blow out of Black Friday futher diminishing the whole value aspect of Black Friday. If anything, i feel like Prime Days have become more of a Black Friday than anything nowadays ironically lol.
