Tracii Guns is a pioneer of rock guitar. As founding member of LA Guns, and an early version of Guns N Roses, he has brought a unique sound to his guitar playing. Some people have referred to this guitar style as sleazy guitar. Tracii talks about his feelings about being considered the king of sleazy guitar and the unique sound of LA Guns and 80s hair metal.
Tracii is playing through a Hotone 5 watt amp British Legacy which is a Marshall voiced micro amp.

I always considered sleaze metal different than hair metal. GNR, Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, hell the first two Crue records, Junkyard, etc..very different than Winger, Poison, Warrant, etc.

exactly...and then it went really into a hair metal sound and image around 1988/89 and a couple of years later grunge really came along as hair metal tried to still hang on in its most cliched form until about 1992/93. But by the mid 1990s hair metal was pretty much gone and its best years were behind it.
