I was at this convention and they was a lot more to this interview .but even a lot of it was left of the video release . i could of stood there and listened for weeks to my all time hero .what a brilliant man stuart adamson was.sadly missed
THE BEST BAND EVER!! SAW THEM A FEW TIMES IN MY HOMETOWN OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE THE FIRST BEING 20TH SEPT 1983 CITY HALL AND MET THEM AFTERWARDS I WAS ONLY 17 AND THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE BLEW ME AWAY SEEN LOADS OF PROFESSIONAL BANDS SINCE BUT NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO BIG COUNTRY!
That was an amazing (and long) day, many thanks for sharing. I'm visible a few times but really obviously at 2:29, in the middle grinning at the camera, wearing a black PIOT T-shirt. :)
i am in EMF, and to think that stuart name checked us is amazing!!! me,my brother and my sister went to see big country on "the seer" tour with an organized bus company,BUT WE JUMPED OVER THE BARRIERS,joined the front rows and had a blast!! the problem was that the bus companys driver,LEFT US AT THE NEC in brum!, £142 taxi,but well worth it! GOD BLESS BIG COUNTRY/GOD BLESS AND RESPECT TO STUART ADAMSON,R,I,P,DUDE XX
i cant respect now him after seing this interview..., i think he dont have to much education speaking about other band like procol harum which is a really rock classic band and the fackt of mark want to play with other musicians....

This is a really fascinating. A real time piece. It really shows the confidence they had in themselves. About the only band I could see doing such a q and a would be manics

This is very interesting, hearing them talk about the dynamic of the band. It was sad to hear Stuart talk about Mark like that, but as we all know he returned the fold and carried on. I suppose after nearly 20 years (at that stage) there must have been some massive arguments along the way. Thanks again for posting.

Guy with a Manic Street Preachers shirt on - 2:27 ... speaks for itself, as Big Country surely influenced the Manics as much as the Clash did, or perhaps more, though this is seldom referenced. I'd take BC over the Clash any day however...
i like the band, they have some good songs...., mark is one of the best drummers in this plannet..., i think the coment from stuart about procol harum is really idiot and without education, big country is abig band from the 80, procol harum is a really important band, to much important in the history of rock than big country and with a really good musicians...., he or the other guitarrist never played or will play the guitar as well like robin trower...., i always thinking good about him..., now i belive which he is idiot and he die in the way he day because he is a fool...., is normal if you have in the band a super virtuoso drummer like mark which he want to play sometimes with better musicians than this band...., thats the reason he play with other amazing musicians like townsend or daltrey from the who, fish from marillion, this procol harum or other big bands from the 80 which i dont like.... like ultravox or the cult..., anyone in this band do that.....this is one of the things make to one to be a great musician....., and i think he play couple times with phil collins... procol harum have a lot of songs which are true rock classics and big country not...

Yeah procol harum are so good that their only well known song is based on Bach! Ye pleb!
