That wicker carriage is gorgeous! It looks like a piece that photographers would like to have in their baby props.

I was thinking that also. Market it as a photographers display. Or a display at a florist, it would look great with plants and flowers in it.
Maybe consider linens quilt over open door of the primitive cabinet you moved into the far left corner. That might keep people from trying to close the door and allow you to use the shelves in it. :-)

Okay, that was hilarious and so sweet watching you and your mom and the progression from seeing the little green piece to deciding how to get it into your lives to Andrew carrying it back out the way it came in just a few hours before. So much fun! 😂

My mom and I have a similar relationship and I love it. Dad and my husband learned to just let it be. They just closed their booth last year but are already missing it so back on the hunt we go.

I have that exact cradle. It looks so sad without a doll. Pick up a cute baby blanket and doll and stage it more! I have had mine for 60 years!

Hi. Just a thought,.... you could rotate the large, brown shelving unit at the front of the booth with the orange one in the back of the booth The orange one is more see through and does not "block" the view.

The cabinet can be filled then put something on the floor that would block the door from being closed.

It is old, its a jelly cabinet. My grandmother had one. So that around 100 years old.

. My friend who sells at a large antique store told me a story how he added vinyl records to the mix and he sat back an observed his booth. He liked to call the record buyers, usually men, ***creepy record guys*** 😆 . He said he noticed that almost all people, especially women, would not go into the booth b/c they did not like being around these guys with old t-shirts with stretched out neck holes, ponytails , and some of them looking unwashed. They would just pass by the booth completely. So, he then moved the records to the outer side of his booth, with permission of the store owner, and his sales went back to normal with the addition of fast record sales. He found a way to make it work for the record guys and everyone else besides them.
One thing I learned when I sold in these places is to have a booth near the front. People pick up things and then don't finish walking the rest of the place. Those spots make the most money.....just my experience.

What happened to starting your on shop.
I kid you not i had the same thing happen with a price tag while stocking booth and I totally spit on it to wet the sticky tag and let it simmer while I rearranged and then it came off w no problem lol. I did go to the bathroom to get paper towel to wipe it off (maybe…I will never tell…) lol.
That would be a gorgeous place to make your baby girls Christmas present picture all of her gifts around her in there and then let daddy be dressed up as Santa Claus I’d be so pretty because he is her Santa Claus
OK, your mother is good at 'styling'....hire her! She moved things around and gave more 'texture' to t he display and grouped some of the colors together in a much better way! Draws your eye that way!!! Mom's rule!!!

I do fully agree with you! It has been one of my favorite Mom and daughter bonding times over decades. I am lucky that she shares her own antique items with me as gifts when she is in the mood to change her decor every few years since she knows I love and respect antiques myself. I will gift her with antiques of her personal interests of birds and fish that are glass blown , stone , metal or wood too.
@@Katariinajokakuoli my condolences, but I understand. I lost my mom @ 92 in 2021, and boy do I miss her and all the times we went to yard sales, flea markets and estate sales 😢

I didn't think it would last long in your shop and what d'ya know it was gone before the video ended haha.^_^ Great looking booth!! oh an idea for the cabinet to stop people from closing it would be to put the Pepsi wagon in front of it filled with textiles and a doll or 2 sitting in it. Just a thought :) :)
Use the cradle to showcase some of your textiles. Recommend grouping same colored items together to get more of a pop

What a blessing it is when we daughters reach the season of life where we, our choices & most importantly, our partners are not just accepted, but truly respected & loved by our parents as members of their family. Hearing your mom joke about your dad & "now Andrew" made me giggle as I have been involved in a very similar conversation with my mom re: our Roseville collections 😂! I called refreshing the booth tossing the booth . It is amazing how your sells will increase . People suddenly see THINGS that they had not seen before . Bringing in new stuff is just a bonus . The big stuff is nice, but it's the smalls that pay the rent .

I think the red cabinet is a jelly cupboard .If you open the door ,then hang a quilt,rug or some kind of fabric item over the top of the door, people might leave it open ! Love this video!♡♡♡♡♡

That's definitely perfect way to let people know that cabinet door should be left open without written sign. Quilt to other beautiful cloth texture style items would be excellent way to draw people's eyes towards that back side area of her booth too.
Do you take pictures of your booth after a refresh? Then you would know if something is missing when you go back to refresh it again. It looks good.

It’s a mom and Jocelyn conspiracy! I have a piece very similar to your little green washstand. I found mine at Salvation Army. It stands in our family room between two chairs and fits very nicely there where I have a lamp, which I also found at Salvation Army. I loved this video and Andrew is so awesome, y’all are two peas in a pod.
Do you ever have linens or small quilts in your booth? The cradle would be a nice place to display them if you did. Also, can you have display furniture that is Not For Sale…like that adorable green cupboard? Love your mom!

Fill the cradle with some of those eccentric stuffed animals I've seen you buy/find and put it out where the green wash stand was...if it's seen more it will gather attention and those eccentric homemade stuffed animals will be exactly what it needs to garner attention

I would move the cradle out of the booth or store plates in it. .its empty and not really a big ticket item..or fold linens or blankets into it.. use it as a vessel to hold stuff.
