I'm so glad that the Finals in 2021 were Bucks vs. Suns instead of Lakers vs. Nets. Why? Because that allowed the NBA to go from modeling around superteams to understanding that you need all of the elements to win it all. Great coaching, team chemistry, quality depth, a superstar that's homegrown, a great supporting cast around him, and an excellent front office. If the Bucks proved it, then Golden State proved it the next year, and Denver the year after.
All because oh injuries lol AD and Kyrie/Harden in 21. The Lakers Nets finals would happen easily.

It would have been Warriors vs. Cavs all over again, and the only way that any player without a ring would win a title is if they joined LeBron or KD. Plus there would be no such thing as parity in the NBA. Thank goodness that never happened, especially considering that Giannis and Jokic would be ringless and no longer with their respective teams if it did.

Prior to this, James had been to 10 NBA Finals in 14 years. He had won 4 titles in the last 9 years. Only time will tell, but this series may have been the end of his reign over the NBA. What a legendary run.

They were making the finals easily, specially since the Suns made it (the same team the Lakers were beating 2-1, with home court advantage. Then AD went down. Same with Harden and Kyrie.
That would have been the worst case scenario for the NBA. If that had happened, it would have forced Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, etc out of their respective franchises to try and form a superteam in a big market to even compete with those two teams. Thank goodness, Giannis, Kawhi, Curry, and Jokic put an end to the superteam era.

The Suns won Game 1, and were leading Game 4 when AD got injured. Its the same crap that Nets fans bring up. The momentum was shifting before the injuries happened because Frank Vogel like Steve Nash in Brooklyn was getting tactically spanked since those two made no adjustments to either team's playstyle. Maybe not Vogel, but Nash definitely didn't change up his defense to limit Giannis or Middleton.
