Edit: they also missed an opportunity to add a face hugger mechanic and the running mode terror radius reduction is cool but I think giving him undetectable would make him more threatening but it could be too strong.
They could add coffin like machines around the map to remove them there’s a scene in the movie Prometheus where the main character removes a chest bursted using one. Though it would be like the pigs traps it would be a very unique thing to add to make it feel more authentic alien imo

So all xeno gets for his runner power is a smaller terror radius, no small haste boost, even though it's called "runner" mode, gets no visual indication when you are getting close to a flame turret, no sound cue when close to one Meanwhile, the turret gives a sound cue for survivors when xeno is close, immediately starts firing the moment the xeno is in view and can take the xeno out of its power in 1.5s it seems? What a way to give survivors an easy counterplay against the xeno, pick up a turret, be slowed for a bit, place it down, done, while the xeno can't properly play around it Least the tunnels can't be disabled, but who knows, it's BHVR after all.
The Alien gets free scouting intel (notifications for survivors moving nearby) when in the tunnels and cools his power down faster while in the tunnel, he can also cross the entire map in seconds using them giving him near-constant map-wide pressure. Additionally, The Turrets do make noise when they first spot you, its just on you to react appropriately. Most importantly, however, the Alien *Does* have addons that causes turrets to be Detrimental for survivors to use or easily counterable. It has a common addon that reveals all turrets when in or leaving a tunnel, an uncommon that reduces their range (likely letting you out-range them with your tail attack), another that reduces how effective the turret is against you in general, a very rare addon that causes any turret placed near a generator to reveal how much progress the generator has, and lastly the ability to use turrets to turn off its terror radius and red stain entirely for 20 seconds by letting a turret knock it out of Runner Mode with another very rare addon. All of these either counteract or turn interactions with turrets into situations with upsides, not downsides. It's pretty clear that its intended that you use the tunnels to compensate for how easy it is to knock the Alien out of Runner Mode. The Turrets also break in a single hit and since it deprives you of a useful Long-range attack it actually incentivizes Survivors to use them and they can buy time to escape if placed in a smart manner. Yes, its an easy way to counteract the Alien's powers, but to claim it cannot be played around is just plain incorrect.
Singularity had the exact same issue, he was a perfect killer design but he's getting a low pickrate because of how emps just make him into a fancy looking M1 killer

I hate the fact that they decided to make that map open instead of taking the amazing opportunity to have it be a claustrophobic interior map full of corridors and dark places. This map DO NOT look "Alien" to me.

Alien's tunnel looks very disorientating, and I'm watching, not playing. I can't really see how Alien tunnels are superior to Demo's, and would say Demo's tunnels are far superior (outside of being destructible).

He isn’t fun to play without undetectable for me. The only time survivors seemed freaked out by him in their streams was when I was undetectable. Without it they was just meh. Hopefully they make him undetectable in runner mode
Not OP at windows at all. Runner mode is essentially a free T3 Nemmy tentacle and we all know how easy that is to bait. That chase music is also god awful. Hope it gets ghost faced and made bearable.

I do find it strange that the Xeno doesn't get a small 5% haste boost while in Runner mode. It's all about the tail really.
