Kiwi here. I came away from that match content that the Springboks are just better at the moment. Extraordinary depth and as world number one and world champions they did what you'd expect such a team to do. Clawed their way back and found a way to win from behind on the scoreboard. My ABs are close but not close enough and we just don't have that extra gear for the last 20 min at the moment
Saffa here. For years, it was the Boks that just didn’t have that extra gear you speak of, and the ABs did! Glad our rivalry is one properly so-called again (57-0 still hurting).
What I'm taking away is that at the moment South Africa are being touted as their greatest team ever. The ABS (especially last year) are being touted as their worst ever and aside from the one performance before the world cup 3 out of the last 4 games the ABs have lost by less than a try. Saffas are clearly the better team at the moment but ABS arnt that far off.
@@dane1056 I see the topics you mention being discussed online but to be honest it seems mostly though full of hot air touting the current SA team as the best and the current NZ team as the worst. The truth is neither of these two teams have ever been far apart and while NZ have had the upper hand for longer, SA was never completely out of the picture. True rugby SH fans know that these two will always be the biggest rivals, measuring sticks for each other, and hopefully there will never be a huge gap between them.
@@dane1056it is wild that this AB team is so heavily criticized when they are still absolutely holding their own. Curse of their incredible record, I suppose. Still, am enjoying the Bok success immensely at the moment, and hope they are able to get to that swagger where they can dominate an entire game against top opponents like we saw from the ABs last decade.
And people don't even understand tht we supported the springboks during apartheid we supported currie cup teams who filled with white players thts how much we love rugby
I agree with you for the most part. But there was one politician I believe who served this country even better than the Boks - Madiba. In 1995 I was 27 years old and what Madiba did (to embrace the Boks, and call for national unity in supporting the boys was ground-breaking. You could literally feel the national climate shifting. Uptil that point the Boks were synonymous with and symbolic of apartheid. But after that, it became synonymous with building bridges across societal lines, of showing what can happen when differences are set aside and everyone aligns behind one cause. That effect has continued among the different Boks teams who have carried that legacy through to this day. Even the ABs who were in the losing team on that day have spoken in interviews about how they witnessed a new nation being born on that day.
@WORS06 Tim might have a shock driving from CT to Stellenbosch passing the shanty towns. I hope he sends blessings out to those in need. But mostly, he sees the beauty of smiles in this people even still from this places they see the glass Half Full. Thank you Tim @EggchasersRugby
Its the new rules that is actually good but also bad. Like the intercept with willie that cost us the yellow card. You now get yellow carded everytime the intercept fails which is a bad rule. It should be like the old rule
The fact that we kept NZ from scoring a try was also something that stood out for me. Opposite to that the boks scored twice. I can't remember the last time that happened. Boks made us proud
I don't know why anyone would be negative. Those were two proper test matches between two of the best teams in the world. It was tough, physical and relentless. I loved every minute
True, and there isn’t that much between the teams. No doubt the Boks are the top dogs right now, but the games were close and the ABs will be back for sure.
@@boondog8504... The All Blacks conceded nearly 3 TIMES as many penalties as the Boks did last weekend. This week, the ref decided that barely hitting the floor with the ball still in hand was a sin for the boks, so we got a few more penaltoes than we should have. No one can convince me that the All Blacks are actually a GOOD team until they aren't consistently conceding the amounts of penalties and cards that they do. When they have the ball in hand and they are running and building their phases, they are next to unstoppable (bar the excellent defence our Bok team has had to develop in response to that excellence in the past 10-15 years). But we all know a Rugby match is so much more than that. It was close last weekend, but our Boks beat them 2 tries to 0 fair and square. All of it was an absolute treat to watch outside of the shenanigans. World class rugby 💕

Tim, thanks for taking the time to have a selfie with me and my wife yesterday. I really love your channel and the enthusiasm and positivity you bring to rugby. I was in a serious accident earlier this year and I was really appreciative of your channel while I was in hospital. I was so excited to be there yesterday and it was really glad I got to see you there too. Thanks again for the channel!
Make hay while the sun shines. This is our season in the sun. But Australian rugby teaches you that the good times dont last. And Argentinian rugby teaches you that the bad times dont last forever. As an ardent Springbok supporter, I admire the Springboks ability to find a way to win. Look at our cricketers. Great in between World Cups. But cannot win a World Cup. All credit to the Springboks. They make us proud to be South Africans. In " The Mayor of Casterbridge", one of the beautiful quotes is " Happiness is but an occasional episode in a general drama of pain." The Springboks are that occasional episode in our lives. And they've put a smile on my face that will last until Eden Park next year. Thanks Tim for your videos. Love it. ❤❤❤
Very kind and apt words but Aus never consistently got to the same heights SA and NZ has. And they struggle with their domestic game that both these countries maybe never will. SA probably less so than NZ. They have rugby league, basketball and soccer to compete with. But get and agree with the gist of your comment
You gotta give it to Tim he embraces the experience in South Africa and really promotes us with out being biased... I've been following this channel since world cup and it's great well done mate
A thing NZ fans also need to realise is go back to when Rassie started. He did not have success immediately. He has built into his success and so will Razor. Give him time he will get the AB's back to the top but he needs to make some big calls.
He beat England (consensus top3 team ITW at the time) in a 3 test series and won in NZ for the first time in years in the his first 3 months in 2018, Rassie immediately changed their fotrunes lol
The referee was consistent and clear with his decisions. That is all we can ask for. Great game!! Thanks for what you are doing for rugby, Tim. Lekker man!!!!
Agree , only that i want to point is that he blwe Grant for not quick enough but there were some ibtaces that the sh of NZ was taking more than 5 to clear
I love your positive outlook. My favourite pundit by far. I’m a 67 year old female dual citizen (SA/UK) living in England and supporting the Springboks. I do support England, but not when they play the Boks!
Endless luv and respect, I'm hurt, we lost, but what an epic game, I think our discipline improved a lot, I think Mr Carly was more than fair, he missed a couple, but he let the game flow, and I've reluctantly come to terms with the fact that the Mighty Blackness aint, #1 anymore, well deserved win, a joy to watch, rugby mate, cheers eh.
I'm an American and love both teams. Both games were on the next level. You can go back to the 2013 through 2015 and see what the All- Blacks brought. Spring forward to now. Rassie watched and is now getting the whole nation behind him. It's so much fun watching the top 10 in the world right now.
If anyone wants to be negative about the Boks I would say think back to where we were just before Rassie took over. If anyone had told me in 2024 we'd have won 2 World Cups, a Lions series and be on the brink of 2 Rugby Championships I would have said they had lost their minds. So we're in a good moment, enjoy and appreciate it while it lasts because sport has shown there will be a time when it's not as good.
You are right about New Zealand Tim. The kiwi press are judging the team against previous great All Black teams. This isn’t one of those… Yet. The fact is South Africa are the current benchmark for the world and New Zealand have run them close twice. That deserves praise I think.
Tim, just a thank you for visiting SA and speaking highly of our stunning country and hope to see you back in KZN sometime soon. Thanks for the most unbiased channel.
No matter what as long As I see Rassie, I'll never fear any nation, He always has a plan man, and we are spoilt with a pool of players. With Rassie even if we lose, I always think he has a plan. What a man
My son and daughter were at the game in Paris at the World Cup where the Boks just lost to the Irish. They had a good time with the Irish fans and when we lost my son told me he and his sister turned to each other and both said Rassie has a plan and he did!
Agree, the only game I feel the boks have lost under Rassie where there didn’t feel like a plan was the loss to Ireland in the 2nd test. That felt like a “just go get the job done”, and the Boks fell flat. Or did he want to see if a Bok team could get themselves up for it 2 weeks again, and learned that you need to keep the boys hungry.
@@jacquie212how about Mt Smart? Pretty sure that result would not have been part of the plan. He sent half the team to NZ while the NZ was still in Beunos Aeres
@@RD-sp5us I don’t think loses are ever part of the plan per se. But before the World Cup maybe it was managing minutes + cohesion build up of the main squad. Pure guesses here. I mean if there was a bigger plan then it worked right?
Yesterday’s match between the Springboks and New Zealand was an intense and high-stakes encounter that lived up to the expectations of rugby fans around the world. Both teams showed remarkable athleticism, tactical intelligence, and determination, resulting in a gripping contest. The Springboks managed to secure victory through well-coordinated defense, powerful scrums, and strategic kicking, while New Zealand displayed flashes of brilliance, even though they fell short on the scoreboard. Conclusion: While the Springboks emerged victorious in this encounter, New Zealand remains one of the world’s elite rugby teams. The match was a testament to the strength and talent on both sides. The media should strive for balanced reporting, avoiding unnecessary sensationalism, and giving both teams the respect they deserve. Rugby is a sport of fine margins, and yesterday's result is merely part of the game’s ongoing narrative.
I believe Rassie has set the standard wrt player stocks depth, and it took years, with many losses we had to choke down along the way, the world will now do likewise I'm sure.
As a neutral I can tell you it was extremely disappointing. The ABs were ordinary at best. Even Ardie and the three Barrett’s were all ineffective. Their penalty count was horrible. The Boks reverted to type bash it up and kick it and their skill level was woeful.. so many mistakes in open play.
@@marcdaniels9079lol welcome to the arena that is apex test rugby. Where world championship status is a staple, where a mixture pf rich tradition, grit and elegance constantly change lanes to make for champion material. And where world championship lies cradled, and not merely aspired to!! 🥸
Hi. Great channel. Congratulations. The Cape Town test stood out with the Springboks closing out the All Black's with tries. I think it has been a while where any team has accomplished that. Great defense from us but the attacking capability at the moment of the All Black's could and should be questioned. Roman
What is evident is how much the big forwards are enjoying the expansive game that the Boks are playing. PSTD relishes his runs, just look at his face, like a retriever discovering a pool of water every 5 minutes. Ox had a few dashes yesterday too. Forwards love to run, and I think that is why the Boks are still winning, as everybody is in on the plan.
It's sad that it's come to this: tier one nations poaching talent from rivals simply because they don't produce enough of their own. Everyone bar South Africa is at it. The All Blacks can't field a first XV without at least some Pacific islanders on the teamsheet. Scotland wouldn't be a tier one side without a certain South African. The Irish and French have their imports, while the biggest problem SA has is working out who to include in whatever camp or squad and who to exclude. We produce so many rugby players we could field two 23s and beat everyone bar Ireland, France and New Zealand with either one of them. It's staggering how much talent we currently have. Watching Canada-US the other day, it struck me that a good way to boost the standard of competition in that region would be to import South Africans to both countries at scale. The associations could offer contracts to anyone who doesn't make the professional cut at Craven Week. Many of those boys are better players than the men who played the other day and a consistent influx of them would strengthen the north american pool significantly.
I feel the same watching Wales and there are some SA players doing a stint at the regions. I only wish the money was there to offer contracts to SA players out of school....@@davesmith826
@@davesmith826 The biggest losers to overseas poaching are the Pacific nations. Their home unions make no money because of the way earnings are structured. They don't have the population or infrastructure to run a lucrative league or earn the money to retain players from incoming international tours. As a result, they lose a lot of talent and that talent often gets exploited overseas.
Two extremely intense games of rugby that could have gone either way. South Africa not at their best but are able to find ways to win. They need to give this new style more time to develop. Tough to try a new style when playing New Zealand - stick with it and in three years will be unstoppable
You hit the nail on the head. The new plan needs time to develop. Fortunately we played against the number 2 and 3 sides in the world so have a blue print to build having the teams expose the weaknesses. We can now close those gaps and will be better for the experience.
Any Kiwi fans or media who are not impressed with how the ABs are playing are crazy. No team has matched the Boks upfront like that for 70-minutes in years. Congratulations to both teams who delivered one great and one good game. The ambition of both teams was excellent - and the Boks commitment to evolving again is amazing.
Agree Tim, from a South African perspective, I’m very proud - we won the WC Final by 1 point against 14 men and this tour we beat NZ more convincingly, that’s progress
and the high tackle chap stayed on par, showing the Red in RWC was most probably the right call in any case, he was lucky this time around! Now I am waiting for the Bluetooth player of Aus, the one that tackles without arms (MPipi), to become an example in a crucial match without luck.
Agree the ref was very good. Strict but fair. It’s very few refs that penalise NZ for going off their feet at the ruck. Sam Cane could not get away with it! Ref showed his intentions early by penalising Williams and both teams were forced to respond accordingly. Both teams their own worst enemies in terms of opportunities missed. Keep up the Great work Tim!
Well said. That was pretty brave to try our more expansive game under so much pressure. It's an essential part of our growth, and maybe equally important.. You can tell that there's genuine excitement from the players to be multi dimensional.
Just rewatched the game. Couldn't fully appreciate how epic it was due to stress and nerves. Our defense was huge. NZ had chances but just seemed a bit like dears in headlights when it came to decision making. SA know their game plan and follow it to a tea.
I remember when the ABs played England earlier this year. Maro Itoje gave away a penalty late in the game. Fast forward to this morning and late in the game Tyrel Lomax gave away a silly penalty. Lesson needs to be no matter how much experience or class a player has, fatigue will cause them to make poor decisions. USE YOUR SUBS, RAZOR!
Agreed on the referee, Tim. Matt Carley was excellent. He did not take away from the game and the occasion. And everyone can now say that the best team won on the day, and not as a result of the referee.
I think one of the reasons for the difference in vibes and atmosphere in the stadiums has a lot to do with their history and use. CPT stadium is "fairly" new and used for quite a large variety of events, not just rugby (yes, yes, I know the others are occasionally used for other things too), whereas if Tim had a chance to experience Newlands, I think he may have ranked it at #1 or tied with Ellis Park, maybe. Thoughts/comments from anyone who has watched/played on all the grounds? Personally, I loved playing on Newlands waaaaay back when the scholars benches were right next to the field. You could touch the players if you wanted to and the chirps for the opposition would be heard by all nearby. I recall Jonah Lomu slinging Breyton Paulse into the sides of the stadium right in front of us and we all gave Breyton a pat on the back and told him to go get him. Awesome memories. Electric atmosphere. CPT stadium will only ever be "just alright" in comparison in my opinion.
This was proper test rugby!! We need to respect this great Bok team....This Bok team I'd one of the best ever if not the best when you see what they have achieved!!!
Brilliant analysis Tim. As Saffa’s and AB’s we have this crazy expectation every time our team plays which means we don’t appreciate what we have. The rest of the world wondering what we moaning about … thanks for channel mate the best on UA-cam by far
Hope you had a great time at the stadium Tim. Siya had a huge game, what a captain. All blacks left 9 points out there, they had certainly had their opportunities.
Wish my two older brothers were alive to witness this Bok "dominance" at the moment. They got to see us win the world cup in 2019 and they were beyond ecstatic, but passed in 2020, so didn't see the B2B RWC wins in 2023 and now this 4 in a row vs the ABs They would've absolutely loved it & gone crazy as fcuk❤️💔🤗
Glass Half Full Tim, I back that 100% Rassie as for visions and as South Africa's we adapt and keep 'moerring' forward. Can't keep us down for long that is our DNA. 'Ons is sterk mense' thank you Tim for showing the world beautiful South Africa as an expat. I loved seeing my home, and I might have to move back soon :) enjoy my home town Stellenbosch !! Peace, Love & Respect to all j
From an entertainment standpoint it’s been an amazing two weeks of rugby. On yesterday’s game I will agree the referee was great. It’s a hell of a responsibility refereeing these two teams for the freedom cup.
The Boks had to up their game when it became obvious that the ABs were intent on dying there. There is a reason why the Bok-AB rivalry is what it is and the Boks were just-just better on the day. It was tough as nails and the fortunate thing about the game was that nobody expired. It will go down as one of the toughest games - EVER!
All Black fan here, obviously disappointing for us Kiwis, but both games were epic, and congrats to South Africa-they deserved both wins. These were tough, physical contests between two of the best teams in the world, and it was great to watch. The AB's just need time; they'll be back, no doubt. Major respect to both sides for giving us some great rugby!
I feel the current world rankings are the true reflection of teams now. SA, have changed gears: winning mentallity and confidence is very high. New Zealand has lost a bit of their invincibility, Argentina, Ireland, SA and England (came close): Regardless what people say about the game I enjoyed it from the kickoff till the end whistle. Well done all. Thanks Tim for the content.
The Springboks have become so beloved - even in the Western Cape. Journalist Craig Ray summarises it best - how can any South African resist the Springboks and their coaching team’s authenticity- “ they are unashamedly South African - from their warmth and humour, to their hard edge and controlled violence on the field”
Rome wasn't built in one day, ABS's most go through the process of rebuilding. On Rassie's side, he looks into the future, he already has the path paved until the next worldcup, and he can because of all the depth he has to his exposure.
I agree Tim. Some of the errors were down to the intensity of the game and the pressure the two teams put on each other. Let's not forget that New Zealand has a new Head coach who is trying to implement his fundamentals and on the Springbok side, they have a new defence coach and a new attack coach. Add to that the fact that both teams are bringing through new players at the start of the World Cup cycle and one can understand that the error rate is bound to be higher than normal. The errors also added to the drama. One thing that is guaranteed in this fixture is drama, long may it continue.
Clearly and without a doubt, the two test matches between the world arch rivals were awesome. Well done to the Boks, the world champions. All Blacks, however, remain the best rugby playing team. How can we say that, when results do not tally? Well, the goodness of a team cannot be measured by a few losses. Even the best teams cannot stay unbeaten forever. I hope and pray, that the New Zealand public will stand with their team and keep on building the best team the world is awaiting for. South Africa, plays no beautiful game of rugby, but are able to win when they need to. South Africa is blessed with a genius coach who has been able to turn around the game for SA.
We are not used to losing four on the bounce to SA. It's just not All Black rugby...but Razor needs time...and most fans are willing and able to see it through because they know what he can do as one of the best coaches in the world...
Well put. Rassie’s willingness to experiment and develop emerging talent from his country’s depth of talent is admirable. Despite all the handling errors, problems at the breakdown and shakiness at the lineouts, there were a lot of positives for the Springboks: When do you see an All Black team that doesn’t score a try? And a lot of the issues the Boks had were caused by positives on the AB side, like their strength on the breakdown and ability to disrupt both Bongi and Marx on their lineout throws. On the Le Roux yellow card, it follows World Rugby’s latest interpretation, which is what in my opinion is the problem. Le Roux not only was obviously trying to intercept, he nearly succeeded, and the ball nearly went backwards, not forward at all. That should not be pinged as if it were a quote deliberate knock-down unquote. The law really needs to be either scrapped or modified. Give a knock-on scrum, OK, but sin bin? Wrong, even though it was a correct call under current interpretation of the laws.
"And Mojo Market place just around the corner, it's a LEKKER place". Tim, you have surely become an honorary Saffa in the couple of weeks visiting South Africa 😊 Just love your channel, thank you!
But as I said yesterday....you have a huge contingent of support in Cape Town. The people down there like you a lot🎊🎉🫡So...if you and your family one day decide to emigrate to SA....then Cape Town will be your new home💪
Boks having two different styles of play is essential in staying ahead of the curve. Thanks again for the great coverage and updates Tim, Cape Town is awesome!
Lekker to meet you yesterday as well, Tim! Loved the match, but a few things that were disappointing as a Bok fan, is our line outs are still causing us problems. Also, the Boks need to take a leaf out of Argentina’s playbook against Aus last night, and draw and pass instead of kicking away prize possession in the red zone. We again left several opportunities out there with bad decision making. But, a privilege to be at the game yesterday and very stoked for the Boks!
Just glad this game wasn't ruined by the diabolical officiating of last week's game. Didn't agree with attempted intercept yellow card though. Well done SA.
Three points. (1) NZ need to relook at policy of not selecting players playing abroad..6 of those guys would have made huge difference.. (2).NZ are suffering from lack of SA competition in Super Rugby. (3).Boks better be careful against Argentina as i doubt they will send first choices but they are still top class whoever runs on the field.
Reality is we have 4-5 key players injured. There are only one or 2 that would make a difference that were overseas. Maybe mounga and frizell, but selecting overseas players would destroy the internal competition that keeps us strong with an awful Australia next door.
@@mazibukomail Richie Mo'unga, Brodie Retallick, Leicester Fainga'anuku, Aaron Smith, Shannon Frizzell, Sam Whitelock, Nepo Laulala - all played in the RWC final last year and now ply their trade abroad.
Thanks for an informative, positive rugby discussion Tim. Almost everything on social media has become negative and angry and I just love your enthusiasm and positivity. You should be the only voice of rugby out there at the moment
Just rewatched game, so close these two teams. From a South African nothing but respect for Blacks. They will bounce back. This current mob of ours are excellent and will get better. That’s scary but we need to all be grounded. Great contest .
Matt Carley I felt didn’t get much wrong but being a little less pedantic and giving players an extra half second to get out the way etc would allow the game to flow a lot more.
Thanks for the perspective mate.. AB fans hold those who wear the black jersey to an impossible standard. We don't want to budge on keeping that expectation. But deep down, we know that this is a year of rebuilding and we should focus on the positives. I don't think we need knee-jerk reactions, no we don't need Mounga back, we don't need Retallick, nor Frizzell. Cane and Perenara can go to Japan next year. I think Williams, Vaaí, Sititi, Ratima, Darry, Blackadder, Clarke et al are all looking exciting for me. Add Cam Roigard, and Plummer and I think the future is looking bright. This team needs to go through adversity they'll be the better for it. I'd like to see Billy Proctor given midfield duties along with David Havili. Move Ione to the wing, once tuipulotu is back, move scooter to 6. Move Ardie to 7 and give Sititi 8 duties. Our main weakness is in the bench. I'd like us to give guys like Sotutu a go. Need to beef up impact off the bench which is what's currently lacking.
Yes it was a lekker test as a springbok fan but to be honest if that had been Ireland that we played yesterday I doubt that would have been good enough to win the test but that said in Rassie we trust. As for New Zealand they need to allow their foreign based players to play test rugby, what do they have to lose? It just does not make sense that they aren’t allowed to play

It supposed to have happened in the recent WC final too( no tries scored by the all Blacks). Both New Zealand tries should have been disallowed .

This is massive. We were told at some stage we dont know how to run the ball and score tries.
That’s the difference between the first test and yesterday 👍🏻
I don't know why anyone would be negative. Those were two proper test matches between two of the best teams in the world. It was tough, physical and relentless. I loved every minute
Agreed. Maybe a sense of entitlement and/or hubris? Not from all mind.
Sa were beaten by paddies recently
. Alblacks battered by french at worldcup mate. Recent results say sa are up there. But kiwis are way off.😂😂😂😂
True, and there isn’t that much between the teams.
Yes the reason why it look scrappy its because of ta two teams being so good

Great, Ireland humbled them though #rentfree
@dagdag3805 come back to me when you win a rugby world cup quarter final 🤣

I think he is actually a closet Springbok
A thing NZ fans also need to realise is go back to when Rassie started. He did not have success immediately. He has built into his success and so will Razor. Give him time he will get the AB's back to the top but he needs to make some big calls.
Yes, I already thought that. Give him time.
well said
He beat England (consensus top3 team ITW at the time) in a 3 test series and won in NZ for the first time in years in the his first 3 months in 2018, Rassie immediately changed their fotrunes lol
I do remember NZ shutting out the Bokkes 36 nil or something like that. Swings and roundabouts
He did though he won a series against a very good England team and also beat the ABs away
LEKKERRRRRRR LEKA 🥳🥳
BOKKE ONS LIEF 💛💚 JULLE
And not penalising Telea for tackling Pollard in the air with the most absurd reasoning Ive ever heard. Apparently Pollard jumped! 😂😂😂😂
You are only as good as your opposition allows you to play. Well done to both sides. 🎉
I love your positive outlook. My favourite pundit by far. I’m a 67 year old female dual citizen (SA/UK) living in England and supporting the Springboks. I do support England, but not when they play the Boks!
Same here
Endless luv and respect, I'm hurt, we lost, but what an epic game, I think our discipline improved a lot, I think Mr Carly was more than fair, he missed a couple, but he let the game flow, and I've reluctantly come to terms with the fact that the Mighty Blackness aint, #1 anymore, well deserved win, a joy to watch, rugby mate, cheers eh.
I'm an American and love both teams. Both games were on the next level. You can go back to the 2013 through 2015 and see what the All- Blacks brought. Spring forward to now. Rassie watched and is now getting the whole nation behind him. It's so much fun watching the top 10 in the world right now.
What a great game really enjoyed it. 🇮🇪
Between you guys and the All Blacks, Bok fans needs some new heart medication.
That's FOUR one score games between the top three.
I think Tim is a converted Springbok fan now!! Its the best time to be a Springbok fan right now! BOOOOOOKKKKKKKEEEEEE 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
❤
You are right about New Zealand Tim. The kiwi press are judging the team against previous great All Black teams. This isn’t one of those… Yet. The fact is South Africa are the current benchmark for the world and New Zealand have run them close twice. That deserves praise I think.
Tim, just a thank you for visiting SA and speaking highly of our stunning country and hope to see you back in KZN sometime soon. Thanks for the most unbiased channel.
When it comes to rugby, Rassie is a genius.
When it comes to reflecting on rugby, Tim is a genius.
He is an analyst and a forward thinker
He's in your heeaaad...in your heeeeaaaad....Raaaassie...Raaaassie....Raaa ssi eeee eee eee oh oh oh
Rassie is the sneakiest puffadder ever to puff respect
@@jacquie212how about Mt Smart? Pretty sure that result would not have been part of the plan. He sent half the team to NZ while the NZ was still in Beunos Aeres
@@RD-sp5us I don’t think loses are ever part of the plan per se. But before the World Cup maybe it was managing minutes + cohesion build up of the main squad. Pure guesses here.
I mean if there was a bigger plan then it worked right?
Tim you are a gem. You are documenting history in front of our eyes.
Absolutely spot-on, Bryan. This guy is seriously good.
Conclusion:
While the Springboks emerged victorious in this encounter, New Zealand remains one of the world’s elite rugby teams. The match was a testament to the strength and talent on both sides. The media should strive for balanced reporting, avoiding unnecessary sensationalism, and giving both teams the respect they deserve. Rugby is a sport of fine margins, and yesterday's result is merely part of the game’s ongoing narrative.
Very well said 💚💛🇿🇦
I believe Rassie has set the standard wrt player stocks depth, and it took years, with many losses we had to choke down along the way, the world will now do likewise I'm sure.
Well said !
@@marcdaniels9079lol welcome to the arena that is apex test rugby. Where world championship status is a staple, where a mixture pf rich tradition, grit and elegance constantly change lanes to make for champion material.
And where world championship lies cradled, and not merely aspired to!!

Hi. Great channel. Congratulations. The Cape Town test stood out with the Springboks closing out the All Black's with tries. I think it has been a while where any team has accomplished that. Great defense from us but the attacking capability at the moment of the All Black's could and should be questioned.

I’m definitely using that line when I gamble my salary month end😂
What is evident is how much the big forwards are enjoying the expansive game that the Boks are playing. PSTD relishes his runs, just look at his face, like a retriever discovering a pool of water every 5 minutes. Ox had a few dashes yesterday too. Forwards love to run, and I think that is why the Boks are still winning, as everybody is in on the plan.
I totally agree with your views on the ref, brilliant. I love the fact that he knew the player's names.
Yeah, don't blame the ref for soft yellow cards, blame the way the rules are written at the moment, out of the ref's hands.
Apparently multiple English clubs did try roll out the red carpet while Sacha was still at school… he just always wanted to play for green and gold
@@davesmith826 nurses, teachers , social workers etc are being "poached" too from SA 😀
@@Ollies2CentsWardill Agreed. Such a shame as well as the islands produce outstanding talent .
Nonsense.....ireland won a couple of times in the last 2 years with huge first halves
Agree Tim, from a South African perspective, I’m very proud - we won the WC Final by 1 point against 14 men and this tour we beat NZ more convincingly, that’s progress
Home advantage helps.
We can lose to Pumas if we play like this atMalta.....Pumas ball handling was superb
and the high tackle chap stayed on par, showing the Red in RWC was most probably the right call in any case, he was lucky this time around! Now I am waiting for the Bluetooth player of Aus, the one that tackles without arms (MPipi), to become an example in a crucial match without luck.
Messy chaotic glorious affair. But wow we got turned over and still held it together to get the win. 4 on trot magnificence 🤯
Great comments. I agree 💯
Your defence is awesome great to watch
I remember when the ABs played England earlier this year. Maro Itoje gave away a penalty late in the game. Fast forward to this morning and late in the game Tyrel Lomax gave away a silly penalty. Lesson needs to be no matter how much experience or class a player has, fatigue will cause them to make poor decisions.
USE YOUR SUBS, RAZOR!
Agreed on the referee, Tim. Matt Carley was excellent. He did not take away from the game and the occasion. And everyone can now say that the best team won on the day, and not as a result of the referee.
Respect to South Africa. This team finds a way to win. This is a mark of a champion side.
Great show with amazing analysis and helpful insights on the game of rugby. Well done Tim🎉!
Tim do yourself a favour, before you leave SA, take a drive up the West Coast. WILD FLOWERS GALORE. Love your channel. ❤
brilliant feed back and analysis, thank you!
Not as good as last week, but the Boks deserved to win 👏 thanks as ever for your thoughts Tim 🇿🇦🇳🇿🏉
Not sure you know what your on about.
This was proper test rugby!! We need to respect this great Bok team....This Bok team I'd one of the best ever if not the best when you see what they have achieved!!!
Well said Tim. Some NZ fans choose to live in unreality - that the ABs must win every test they play. The tide has turned, that ship has sailed.
💯 true
I fully agree with you Bud, Coaches and managers WILL and CAN NEVER please everyone. When you start rebuilding it's never easy
Honest fair observations on the game. No matter what team you barrack for, Tim is worth listening to.
Nope, you can't leave points , the game resets when converting from centre. The entire game change in outcome.
I'd love to hear what that tosser of a French billionaire has to say.
@@SteveWarleeThank You
Lol..we left quite a few out there as well...but read the comment above mine
@@SteveWarlee absolutely. I’m just stating that All Blacks failed to convert some opportunities. And in test matches you gotta make them count!
Wish my two older brothers were alive to witness this Bok "dominance" at the moment. They got to see us win the world cup in 2019 and they were beyond ecstatic, but passed in 2020, so didn't see the B2B RWC wins in 2023 and now this 4 in a row vs the ABs
They would've absolutely loved it & gone crazy as fcuk❤️💔🤗
It will go down as one of the toughest games - EVER!
ty for your unbiased reporting. great to have you here and keep going...you are one of the best reporters on rugby at the moment:)
Brilliant commentary... so rounded and complete. Hope you are being hosted here and not abandoned to an impersonal place.
Great stuff Tim.
Thanks Tim, top unbiased comment’s and great breakdown of the game
Respect to AB's. Hope you enjoyed your time in South Africa. Hope to see you back here soon. Safe travels back home
FUN FACT. The freedom cup had it's 30 th celebration in this match. The final score was 18 - 12. 18+12= 30.😊😊
Golden era of South African rugby. Great time to be alive. Wish my late Dad would have been alive to see his Mighty Boks.
Thank you Tim. Love your podcast and your love of Rugby. I'm Soooooooo happy that you enjoyed Cape Town one of the most beautiful places in the world!
Tim, you have surely become an honorary Saffa in the couple of weeks visiting South Africa 😊

Tim, you speak so much sense! Both sets of fans have a lot to be grateful for! ABs are damn damn good! Boks just mustn't get ahead of themselves!

Love u Tim. Your shows are the best. . Its painful for many people to acknowledge the depth that Boks have. Amazing talent pool

Sounds like someone was skipping out on their shooters!
So nice coming to this after listening to martin devlin riding the ABs. Cheers Tim
Just glad this game wasn't ruined by the diabolical officiating of last week's game.
Didn't agree with attempted intercept yellow card though.
Well done SA.
Also thought ref was excellent! He was outstanding in his capacity and 💯 fair.
Once this bok team "clicks" they will be unstoppable !! And it's not very far away !!
I hope you keep doing this coverage of the Springboks. Absolutely love your analysis and viewpoint. And of course, your love for the country 😁🇿🇦
Love your show .you also are a genuis rugby pundit
Amazing analysis, Tim. Really enjoyed that, thanks!
Hey Steven, please give me an idea of NZ players who would be playing if Razor was allowed to pick overseas based players.
Reality is we have 4-5 key players injured. There are only one or 2 that would make a difference that were overseas. Maybe mounga and frizell, but selecting overseas players would destroy the internal competition that keeps us strong with an awful Australia next door.
@@mazibukomailI think they miss Mounga and Retallick the most. Those two would make them much better and give them depth on the bench.
fully agree with no 2 and worry a lot about number 3! Number 1, no, leave as is, we have records to set up for years to come! lol
Hey Tim, it was awesome meeting you yesterday... you're a real celebrity in South Africa now. Well done and much deserved 🇿🇦🫶🏽
Typical northern hemisphere referee, loves to blow the whistle.
And I second the comment regarding the classiness of this channel. Insightful and professional with no crass or vulgar language. Thanks for that Tim
Was at the stadium, voice is gone this morning😂
Always good to listen to your podcasts, Tim. Very knowledgeable and unbiased. Keep them rolling.
