Thanks for this video, very enjoyable. I got a 2024 model at the beginning of March and so far have been really impressed with it. I came to the SV from a 2023 GSX1000S, awesome bike, and still own a GSXR750 and I can honestly say that the SV has greatly exceeded my expectations. I can see me keeping the SV for a long time. I agree to it being a very good beginner bike but also highly rewarding for more experienced riders, I’ve been riding on the road for over 30 years, have owned dozens of bikes and in my humble opinion the SV is one of the best overall real world bikes I’ve ever ridden. Ride safe.
Thanks for watching! They are really good all round bikes, I've ridden a few more bikes since making this video, but I still always gravitate back to the sv650, it's just a great, fun bike!

Always been a fan of the SV650, I do prefer the older second generation to the current look but the bike itself is still an exceptional performer.
Perfect for commuting or a weekend jolly 😎

Not a bad 0-60 time by any stretch of the imagination.
I think these bikes are perfect many for those who have just gotten on the A2 license or just fancy a reliable solid midweight naked bike.

I do really think it's a great bike to jump straight on, its just the right balance of everything you need first starting.
New helmet made the wind a little bit of an obstacle, although I think I've found a work around for the next video!

I had same SV650 with red and white, best color ever.
It was the colour that really sealed the deal for me, I was sold the moment i saw it - such a nice colour scheme!

Nice review. Recently got my full license and considering one of these as a first bike. On my lessons i rode a 99 Fazer and a 09 CBF600 and since had a go of a 2004 SV650 and it felt lighter certwinly than the Honda. Loved the grunty nature and character of the engine. It looks like the current SV is around 25kg ish heavier than the old ones though.
They're gleaming bikes to start off on, I don't think I'd ever get rid of mine 😁

watching you scoot around the parking lot, i hate you as i have gained 45 pounds since injury and not happy. drinking has been the only release from back injury and relief from pain for the last year. sad, medical does not pay for the drink. and narcotics are not my relief. i hope to see you loosing the pounds and returning in 2024 this year. thank you for encouragement.

What year Model is that ? Is it Fuel Injected or Carbie ?

I had 2....both 2000 model SV.'s. GREAT bike. I'm keen to check out that 2021 model. Love the Ducati style frame.
@jayemcmac6815 it's a great bike, I'm looking at getting something bigger in a couple of months for track days etc, but will be keeping the SV as my daily use bike, I love it!
My new SV 650 runs max. 140 Kmh. is that normal? 🤔
As in top speed or range? Both sound a little low though either way mate

@@liveland56 Yea, I have seen some bikes being sold with the restrictions on here in the UK for people without the full A licence - But you are right, they should have mentioned it for sure - might be worth asking them, chances are they will de-restrict it for you
