un video muy explicativo, aunque a mí me genera una duda, si vamos cortando las ramas para favorecer el crecimiento del tronco, cuando ya queramos crear las ramas ,¿como hacemos para que crezcan en los bordes de las curvas deseadas?

Te voy a responder lo mejor que pueda: Algo que me faltó aclara en el video es que esto no se puede hacer con pinos, juniperos, cipreses... Habiendo dicho esto, me imagino que estoy trabajando con un olmo, un ficus, un celtis, un acer... lo cierto es que cada año, saldrán ramas por todos lados, esto hace que al momento de tener la estructura principal del tronco terminada, tengas muchas ramas para elegir. Si alguna no sale exactamente del exterior de una curva, la puedes llevar a ocupar ese plano con alambre o si no te convence, la puedes injertar también. Tuve la misa duda hace un tiempo. Hola, todo depende del estadío en el que esté el árbol, y de lo que quieras conseguir. No trabajé con fresno. Si el árbol es joven y queres que engorde, no te conviene podarlo. Saludos

I've tried that and it isn't the best solution. First you'll have a terrible scar, it can heal over time but it will take a lot of years. If we consider selecting the low sacrificial branch, the years of development of that branch, the scar left and the heal process it will take more years than doing it correctly in the first place. The second issue is that almost inevitably you'll have an ugly bulk in that place wich also can produce inverse tapper. The result is that with the aim of going faster, you'll spend more time and the result will be less attractive and effective. With that being said, I encourage you to try it anyway. If we want to learn, there's no better way than trying things! Salutes!
If you already like the tree in question, just enjoy it the way it is. You can leave low sacrificial brances every year, don't let them grow too big and use that tree to practice other bonsai thecniques. To do it the correct way from the begining it's better to buy a cheap seedling and do every step as the video tells. I would add that you can do it in a big pot or wood box with at least 3/5 gallon of substrate and a lot of fertilizer. That way you'll be able to work on the roots more often!

If it will, you will get branches with same thickness along the whole trunk... And another thing (a little bit of biology): A plant grows when it has leaves. Leaves carry out the photosynthesis. Photosynthesis produces organic matter that is incorporated into the plant. Without leaves there is no organic matter production, there is no growth. More leaves: greater growth. The more you cut back the branches, the less the trunk of the tree thickens until it grows back the branches and leaves necessary for photosynthesis...

Would using a low sacrificial branch, in place of a main trunk, for a few years be comparable? Leaving all other branching & ramification in place.
I've tried that and it isn't the best solution. First you'll have a terrible scar, it can heal over time but it will take a lot of years. En ese proceso no hay que dejar ramas o no prestarle atención
Claro, el proceso tiene 2 etapas, la primera es la formación del tronco y la segunda, la de las ramas. Saludos!
