Hi Marty, I can’t express enough how great it is to watch your videos. You go into such in-depth detail which really helps so many of us learn what to do and eliminates so much of the not knowing what to do. I feel there are a lot of us who want to take our machines and skills to a new level but with difficulty finding proper guidance we end up being held back, get frustrated or make mistakes that end up ruining something we just purchased and were looking forward to putting to good use. I am really looking forward to acquiring a new motor and using a VFD. WITH MANY THANKS, PAUL
As previously suggested, if you do go with Centroid, or have any questions, post them to the Centroid User forums: centroidcncforum.com/viewforum.php?f=20
Provided you have some basic electronic/electrical skills, can follow a schematic and along with help from the Centroid User forum: centroidcncforum.com/viewforum.php?f=20 you should be OK. You should post a message, show your machine, ask for advice unless you know what kind/size motors, drives and power supplies you want to use.
Congratulation and many thanks. All of your videos I have seen so fare are informativ, detailed and helpful and without them I could hardly handle upcoming problems. Please give a link where to download the wiring sheet „ Acorn_rev3 connections to leadshine dm series Stepper drive“ .On the centroid homepage I could not find them.

so there is a sequence to how to power off everything. You cannot just connect everything to a power strip and then power off the strip which will power off everything at the same time

Marty, Part 1 and Part2 have been a great series. I've learned a lot. THANKS and keep them coming!
very good video. The VFD is a perfect match for the Acorn.

I would not use a power strip in CNC Control. Centroid has schematics to use as guidelines
Centroid should be paying you!
on cnc12 when you are changing the spindle speed via mdi, the spindle speed on the screen always says 0A.
Please post the question to the Centroid CNC Users forum where many can learn from it. Need more info and this isn't conducive for that
Can that spindle ok connect to drive ok?
Sure, but you won't be able to tell if your VFD or axis drives caused a fault via CNC12
