- ♥︎ This was my first time biking on actual mountains! Angel Fire in New Mexico. So yes... it was my first time "mountain biking!" Haha :) And yes, unfortunately my frame did crack on my 1st day at Angel Fire. Watch the video to see!
Questions for the comments: 1: What is your favorite trail at Angel Fire? Or trail featured in the video? 2: Do you prefer helmet/chin footage, or chest mount footage? I have a preference, but let me know in the comments!

Wait a minute! I've been told many times that aluminum frames don't break!?@!#$?#$$! Carbon sucks!!! :) Sorry for your bad string of luck but looks like you had a great time. Hope to make it out there someday.
Haha yeah I know right 😅 I’ve honestly been seeing a bunch of “cracked frame” posts in the communities I follow. The majority are aluminum, but I’ve seen a few carbon also.
I guess it’s just the nature of this crazy sport we do. No matter what you do, something is bound to break on your bike 😆

Thanks man! And yes, I do plan on making that video 🤓I should get to it in a few weeks :) It's the perfect time of year for GoPro footage, it's always perfect lighting and scenery in the Fall!
I prefer the chest mount, but I'm not opposed to having both to switch it up in the same video case you're feeling confined and need to air out your chest. Bummer that the frame cracked on the most mild section of that trail 😂
Yeah I feel the same on the mount! It's fun to change it up mid ride to make it a bit more interesting visually for the watcher. And yeah... the frame just decided to die in the most chill area of trail. Really glad it didn't happen on a big drop or jump, that likely wouldn't have ended well 😬

@@dadlife8289 nope. Working on the refund now, can’t complain. Chain Reaction has been good to me, just some minor frustrations 😅
I prefer helmet mounted. Bummer about the rear triangle.
Cool! Helmet mount shows were I'm looking which is a huge plus. And yeah, I did warranty the frame. Long story short, I got a refund and I'm working on getting another frame right now 😎
Super common spot to fail on that mega v3
Yes it is. Found all sorts of posts and threads about that, also found it's pretty common for a lot of alloy rear triangles. Lots of cracks in the welds from what I can see. I now have first hand experience of the mentality: "aluminum will eventually break" 😅
@@joebikes oh the flip side, you see a ton of carbon frames break too. Are you going to stick with a nukeproof as your next full suspension bike?
@@s14tat That's true! And no I'm not. Partly because there are just no NP frames in my size in stock. And another reason... I've really been eyeing some American made frames 😎more on that in the future!
How's the frame replacement coming?
Well… they didn’t have a comparable frame, so they actually gave me a full refund. Not complaining at all. But I did go with a different brand/bike. Video coming soon 🤠
@@joebikes I just got back into biking. I really like the way Nukeproof bikes look. I am starting with the Scout 275 because my background is in BMX. Sad to see the Nukeproof fail, I'm sure it happens to most manufacturers, hope it's not something I need to worry about. I'm in College Station Texas and enjoyed seeing the trails in Sugarland as I have not been able to find anything local with any kind of jumps or challenging skill terrain.
@@TRUTHBMXracing awesome man! I hope biking provides a lot of enjoyment for you. The Scout is a great bike! I’ve honestly abused mine more than my Mega and it’s still trucking. And you’re right, broken chainstays are common for a lot of manufacturers.
There are actually a lot of great trails around Austin area, not super close to College Station… but their trails are worth the drive 🤠
My rear shock is currently blown out. Could you fix it for me?
Lots of folks more qualified to do that than me 😅suspension work is often not cheap though going through good shops. Complete rebuilds are typically around $150-$200. Good luck 🤠
