Having worked in customer service, I’ve learned to be far more respectful and empathetic to employees and workers than I used to be. It’s bad enough that those kinds of jobs aren’t much to live off of, but mangy customers are just the cherry on top of the shit cake. Sorry you had to go through all that.
I worked at a grocery store for 9 years. The pandemic was one of the most stressful times in my life getting yelled at for things I had no control over. It’s been almost 2 years since I left and I couldn’t be happier.
i worked at a grocery store during the pandemic too and it was also hell. i think i'd rather die tomorrow than have to go thru that again. i'm glad other people understand the struggle. it sucks. thanks for the story, Ben! :)
8:01 I've been watching you since 2009. This is the funniest bit I've ever seen 😂😂😂 I cannot breathe and now this video is my new favorite. ❤️🤩 I have never heard you uncut like that 😂😂
Never thought I’d see this format on the channel again. As for the subject, I ended up doing work experience at a supermarket from December 2019 - March 2020. As it’s located in Grim Brotten, the weather was freezing cold & I was mainly located in the cereal & toilet paper departments. It wasn’t fun, but at least I could say I witnessed the effect of the toilet paper shortage.
After my Service in Spanish Army ended in 2018 i have a lot of debt to pay, including Health Debt (which the Spanish Army promise us that they will help us out, but give us the middle finger instead) physical injuries and mental issues from the battlefield that force my parents to pay all of it with their own savings, so i was force to work on a grocery store chain, i was not just working long hours with little pay, i was mock, insulted and been a call a murder at times by supervisions, i want it to give them a piece of my mind so bad but at the time i was unable to do anything because i need it the job, until in 2019 a friend of my father offering me a job in a mechanical store so i took it and give these bastards what they deserve.
I feel bad that you went through a lot. Don't you just hate when parents nag about you not looking for a job, mainly moms? We all want to find peace and be happy when it comes to a job.
And some people wonder why I don't act like an ass to people who work in grocery stores. Sure I may get annoyed at them but it really depends if they really don't know where stuff actually as it or refuse to actually show you where something is since there are stores that do move everything in the store. I was a dishwasher at a restaurant in a hotel and no the pay was not worth it. Because I could not keep a good posture cause the sinks were really deep and such it fucked up my shoulder, neck and hips and it was stressful and they also make lunch break short and actually put the clock in the staff break room like 10 minutes ahead so that way we can get back to work sooner. My former roommate who was covering for someone did fix the clock but next day it was back to being 10 minutes ahead. They would also always pull me out of dishwashing to pull carrots and potatoes and never the other 2 people who were washing dishes. When I state that they should do a rotation on taking turns they acted like as if I was insulting them when I wasn't. The job was stressful and I hated it and was only being payed 3 dollars an hour cause the pay was split with the aforementioned 2 other people. My health was declining as I was starting to suffer with stomach issues and due to my health going down hill back they finally laid me off. I tried to quit but they literally wouldn't let me. I would never want to work as a dishwasher again. So I already know what it is like to work a job that I hated. It is very soul crushing.
I am sorry to hear that you had been working 6 day work weeks Ben. I also been through hell during the pendemic in around 6 month's time at my work place to.
@@PuffyZillaman Yeah. I took a few days off, had a good time, and almost felt like a new man. But I kept working 6 days a week for a while until we got new people.
Your experience sound very similar to what i went through in 2020 Pandemic until i quit this hellhole and got a job as a security guard in one of my close friends jewelry store in 2022 and still do and i do not have any plans to leave any time soon.
Great video as usual. But here's an off-topic question. As a cartoon enthusiast, on a scale from 1 - 10, how excited are you for the upcoming MeTV Toons channel?
@@PuffyZillaman For me it's a 10. Many of these tv shows are cartoons that haven't been aired on broadcast television in many decades. It'll essentially be the first decade of cartoon network but on steroids.
@@MrDonCoyote And that's very cool! Only reason I said 8 was cuz I looked at their affiliate list and it doesn't look like my town is gonna pick it up. Dunno, we'll see!

This was both hilarious and sad, well done on the timing here Ben.

Thanks for watching for so long. Glad you enjoyed. ^^
As hilarious as this was. I also feel sorry you went through all of that. I wouldn't want to go through that type of sh1t anytime.
I can relate. As I'm typing this, I still work here.
he thought he going to be the next odd 1s out but he had to get a Job.
Whoa really, I had no idea.

That part where you had 2 weeks off but then continued working for 6 days in a row, something slightly similar happened to me.

What was the job that was keeping you down this past year? Would you do a video on that, or had the wound not healed?
This WAS the job.

Miss your videos ben
