- Ithaca is GORGE-ous!! This is a vlog from August 2020 celebrating my fiancee's birthday. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and airplane travel being discouraged, we looked for local destinations that we could drive to from New York City. It was only a four-hour drive and the pictures looked amazing, so we decided to check it out. Let me tell you that the pictures did not do this place justice; I could not believe we were still in New York! Ithaca has waterfalls, gorges, kayaking on the Cayuga lake, amazing food, and so much fun. We went to Robert H. Treman State Park, Buttermilk Falls, and Cayuga Lake. Also, we ate at The Boat Yard for a scenic dinner on the water.

@@ChewsToExplorelots of places like this in NYS. The Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains are as beautiful. Adirondack Mountains too. We have an abundance of beautiful natural lakes, rivers, ocean beaches!

@@ChewsToExplorea city like Ithaca will have some public transportation, but generally there is not. These are largely rural areas.
