Played this to death as a kid, so simple and small yet so fun and addicting! Sega Dreamcast is the most underrated console ever, brings back happy childhood memories :)
General Entertainment wasn't so lucky after the Dreamcast era; their final video game was the PS1 title Kids Station: MiniMoni ni Ninaru no da Pyon! for Banpresto. Nearly ten years after ceasing their video game operations, GE finally declared bankruptcy on August 12, 2011.
Pen Pen TriIcelon looks similar to Sonic R, Running Wild and the later Mad Dash Racing, but it's a pretty good racer. It was published in Japan by General Entertainment, who also did Godzilla Generations (although it's actually developed by Quintet of ActRaiser and the Soul Blazer series fame. No seriously!). The game was developed by LAND HO!, a company formed by ex-Team Andromeda designers that worked on the Panzer Dragoon series at Sega. Eventually, they also worked on the PS2 Sega Ages remake of the original, and the Xbox One spiritual successor Crimson Dragon (co-developed with Grounding Inc, founded by fellow ex-Team Andromeda member and Panzer Dragoon creator Yukio Futatsugi). Outside of all things Panzer Dragoon, there's the Wii action game Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire for D3 Publisher; there's a game sample uploaded by Vyse to check out. These days, LAND HO! either develops horse simulator games for Sega and Sony, outsourcing work on Ubisoft's Just Dance titles (BLECH!) or doing mobile games on Android and iOS platforms.
Holy shit! The very first video I've played. This game is soooo old and yet brings back so many memories ^^ But looking back now, no map for the track was annoying and the controls were BAD!!!
Holy shit. The volume on this video is insanely loud! Good thing I had my headphones set to a very low volume or else I would have had permanent damage. Even with my volume set to only 2%, it's very loud. You should fix that or at least make a note in the title.

I love the announcer. Words can't describe how appropriate he is.
ive been trying to find this game for years, used to play it all the time as a tiny 3 year old.

Joey Ford Yes, why so surprised? :)
Joey Ford Oh, okay. Well, it is weird, I have to admit that. The levels are fun though.

The announcer sounds kinda like teddie from the persona games. Lol.
Why is the intro cell-shaded when the game itself isn't?
Is this narration exclusive to the US release? It ain't in the EU release.
I had the EU version as well and I remember the narration.
I want to make the pen pens face the wall and say their last words
