Recovery from a wrist fracture (distal radius and ulna) 7 months ago has been hampered by adhesive capsulitus (frozen shoulder) on the injured side. Physio and twice daily at-home exercises have certainly helped, more so now the shoulder is thawing. Exercises 1 and 2 of this set feel beneficial and doable, although need to practice straightening the elbow. Exercise 3 is currently excruciating in shoulder and upper arm and tight in the wrist, particularly if attempting to rotate it. All 3 are fine on the "good" arm. A little progress each week keeps me on track and at 72, am aiming for a good recovery (currently around 80%). Thank you so much Michelle. I still practice many exercises from your other videos, each has proven very helpful along the journey.
You are welcome! It definitely takes time and consistency. Exercise 3 can also be done on a table which could be more comfortable on the shoulder. It sounds like you are doing aamazing!
@@VirtualHandCare Thank you so much. Have given #3 a try on a flat bench surface and certainly feels more manageable. Really appreciate your suggestion.
Hi Michelle, loved your video, it gives me lots of hope for wrist recovery. I’m in week 3 of my wrist injury and MRI results says “Acute rupture of the scapholunate ligament with widening of the scapholunate joint”, it’s a partial rupture. Just wondering if you know it could heal itself with a cast? Or anyone you know or in your has? All my fingers moves ok except I can’t move my wrist up and down. I also don’t want to miss the window for surgery if it’s required. It will be greatly appreciated if you can provide any information on this, thanks!🙏
@@VirtualHandCare thanks, do I need to do it within 4 weeks, is there any negative impact if I try conservative approach eg. after 6 weeks first and do surgeon if required later.
Watching as Im thinking about the upcoming choice for either a wrist replacement or fusion. 🥴 Being its a work injury, the number of years/surgerys its been and my age, Im concerned that "They" will be choosing fusion 😖
I had a broken wrist and my cast was taken off four months ago I cannot make a full fist n my pinky is the big problem as I can't bend it My pronation is ok but supination is only half way Please advice
Omg this was absolutely fantastic! As an aerialist I use my hands and arms so much and this was a much needed relief thank you !

was very helpful. thankyou so much.
Glad it helped! You're welcome!
Amazing, thanks, I have a lot of overwork in my forearms from computer, guitar and videogames 😁 These seem to be helping, cheers

You need to see a hand surgeon for this!! Most of the time these need surgery.

Ugh! So Sorry to hear that! Make sure you ask a lot of questions, so you know what to expect and why!
