This is a reoccurring issue with Tahoe’s in the US. Since it communicates directly with the wheel speed sensors it coincides with the ABS & traction control, so the stability track falls in line by restricting the power & drivetrain from the driver. What a fun problem!
I tested my yaw sensor with a multimeter. The neg pin to one of the housing holes, and positive to all of the module pin. I used the ohms setting and did not get any reading. I assume this is a bad yaw sensor. 2006 Prius.
Old thread but can this activate the abs going on and not traction control on normal driving especially going down hill ? No codes set either. It's like when you drive over ice and tap on brakes feel but in normal dry weather and sometimes not even touching the brake pedal.
My cts lost communication with multiple modules including. "ECM/TCM" and i also got a code "c0196 yaw rate ciruit " by any chance can the yaw sensor have anything to do with this?
Hi Walied, we recommend you have the car scanned with an appropriate diagnostic scan tool. It will tell you if that sensor is faulting, but it will also indicate if your car is some kind of limp mode, which would reduce acceleration. Good luck with your fault finding.
