Bruce Lee box set my favourite release i been a fan of him since renting his movies that the BBFC butchered on vhs when i was a kid in the 80's. Christ knows what 88 Films & Eureka have in store this year i hope we get A Better Tomorrow trilogy, Once A Thief, Full Contact, Hard Boiled & The Killer. Desperately need a Jackie Chans Who Am I remaster the Umbrella release is terrible.
You talked about the movie “Dance Macabre,” my brain instantly went to Stephen King’s nonfiction book “Danse Macabre,” and that made me wonder if you’ve read that book and what you thought about King’s thoughts on the films of the ‘70’s and early 80’s?
Love it - you can almost feel the cocaine the prose is so frantic and fast and full of passion. It's such an odd book but 100% real and I think the only time King felt like a Gonzo writer. Cheers!
Ive always wanted to do some collecting but 2023 was the year i completely dived into it by putting up some of the dvds up for sale minus some that had good features that arent remastered or some that arent on blu ray yet. Havent done too much 4k but started with some italian stuff. Demons 1 and 2 by Synapse being my first buy this year. For box sets i ended up giving in and shelling out for the friday the 13th scream factory set watched the hell out of the features. Started watching a while back cause of SOT. Keep up the good work davy😊!

I was on my buddy Tyler's channel (LPTremors) 2 years ago for weekly reviews for the Friday films...burnt me out! ;) Great that you're diving in and even better that you're keeping the DVDs for features. Not one for the HD snobs who won't touch DVD, that's someone who is a collector first and film lover second. And if you stick to what you like...you'll have an epic collection you'll be super proud of. Many came from SOT and...some didn't stay as it's not metal talk, the films aren't just horror but I've no interest in being a clone. Pete does it best, I only try to do my stuff! :)
@DavysFlicks honestly it's good to have a variety or just a varied feel. Heck when I found Pete I found him cause of Metal but stayed for the prog and other stuff and the movies which I knew a lot of knowledge but there's so much I never knew. You, Chris and Dan especially bring up some movies where I'm like what is that and find myself googling them. Any main differences with the arrow Demons and the Synapse one? Also if you've never tried it letterboxd is a platform worth checking out if you like rambling and recommending movies. Huge platform full of various folks. Including your nemesis Damien Leones fans lol.
