WOW! This is a historical event indeed. I am very disappointed that the Rastafari community is not represented at a table at this amazing celebration. Where is The Honorable Priest Nyah of the Bobo Shanti church? Priest Nyah has been on the battle field for decades organizing events during Emancipation day for all people. Are you telling me that the people of T&T do not acknowledge Rastafarian contributions to the BACK TO AFRICA movement. Through the teaching of Rastafari many have come to acknowledge their African heritage. Their presence and voices should have echo loud and clear at this spectacular event. OKAY! I am walking away with the impression that the government of T&T discriminate against Rastafarians.......

      LIndians works thier magic too.
Son learn to honor your mother and father.
African orgin of Indian paternal y dna halopgroup .
Indians y dna halopgroup came from the African progenitor Cf y dna halopgroup which produce the following Y-chromosome DNA Haplogroups found in high frequency iñdians :R1a1, R2, L, and J2, which are found in higher frequencies among various populations of the Indian subcontinent, are also observed among various populations of Europe, Central Asia, and Middle East etc.
African orgin of the Indian maternal M Mtdna :
Most Indians maternal mtdna comes from Mtdna M which cames from l3 African Mtdna. The l3 mutated and produce M and N Mtdna which produce all other non African mtdna. The Asante king you see Mtdna is l2 a sister to l3.
More than 60% of the present day Indian maternal lineages are affiliated with mtDNA haplogroup M. Most of the sub-clades of these Eurasian founder haplogroups are autochthonous to South Asia [for a recent review see [30]].

@@jackiebenjamin8772 some people like to project gloom and doom. being sad makes them feel worthy of respect. Trinis are very spoilt people for decades now. the amount of free stuff we get, or subsidize goods we enjoy is numerous. We dont have to live in fast food restaurants eating high priced foods every day but lots of us do.
