    Hey great video! I whish to cut marquetry, pictures with wood veneer. So I need to learn absolutly everything.
    Watching videos, the Mira and light burn appear to be great choices.
    I thought I would get the software first. Become familiar with it and then buy the a machine. Not really sure that is the best path for success? Just seams reasonable to me.......?
    So thanks for introducing the basics!
    just jim

    This is an awesome video. Do you have a list of start off settings for the most common materials?

      I do not, every machine will be different. However, feel free to email me and I can let you know what I cut and use the most and the settings for those :) I mostly use 1/8” mdf and 1/4” birch - if that helps at all :) signparties101@gmail.com

    I'm trying to narrow down my laser machine. I'm purchasing one to make earrings, and signs. I'm looking at the omtech 60 watt, Mira 7 and glowforge pro. I know glowforge is the slowest. but it has the pass-through door for long planks. I also didn't want a huge machine in the studio. I think the omtech might have to go in the catch all building. The price is attractive on the omtech and it has the pass through as well as speed. Mira 7 is the most expensive out of the 3. I don't think I could make large yard signs on it. I like the clean package of it. You have both the Mira and omtech. May I ask why did you purchase the Mira? Is the omtech not as user friendly as the Mira? Thank you for responding.

    Hi, thanks for the video, really liked it. I dont find any info about the power of the mira 7. Do you know how much watts it have?

    • @dawnmarielegatt
      @dawnmarielegatt  2 роки тому

      It depends on the wattage of the laser that you get. I have 100watt - Mira 7 comes with an 80watt I believe.

      @@dawnmarielegatt hi, I have the Mira 7 and it’s a 60 watt, but think you have option for 80 watt as well. Aeon could confirm. Thanks for this video Dawn👌🏼😊

    Thank you for this Video I just got my Mira Last week and have tons of questions. do you have any info on how to set up your Camera. I can't seem to find anything. My camera came already set up with my Mira and when I got to Lightburn and pull up the camera it either pulls nothing or pulls camera on my laptop. Any information is appreciated. Thanks

      Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t see the comment! But to answer your question, YES! I still run my Mira 9 everyday and love it! The company (Aeon laser usa) is amazing and offers such wonderful support! I have not regretted my purchase and am still happy after almost 2.5 years ❤️

    Is that using the internal extraction fan? Looks like it needs alot more extraction power.

    • @dawnmarielegatt
      @dawnmarielegatt  2 роки тому +1

      This is using both the internal and external inline fan.

    Can you talk about how you like the OMtech vs the Aeon (and is it worth the price diff)? Also, did you buy your OMtech from the OMtech USA website or directly from China (from Ebay/Amazon)? I heard buying from OMtech USA is safer as they do some inspectsions + better support.

    What if your wood is warped?

    • @dawnmarielegatt
      @dawnmarielegatt  Рік тому

      You can use pins that hold the wood down to the honeycomb tray, or strong magnets can work as well!
