I like Coach Smart. If you get beyond the talking heads around the SEC, you find this guy...stand up dude, classy program, and probably the best in-game coach out there. I'm an ND fan, but I respect the UGA program. I suspect as long as Smart is around, UGA will be a tough out.

I agree but I think the main thing was mistakes. Georgia looked like the better team almost all game outside of a handful of huge mistakes. Our defense was pretty much lights out. ND couldn’t do anything on offense u til the last drive outside of a few qb runs. Mistake killed us.

The problem is Georgia got outperformed by a way worse team in all 3 phases of the game by players who are not 4 and 5 star players. Kirby will always defend Bobo's horrible play calling, even if it's clear he's not making the right decisions for the situation. I'm starting to lose faith in his judgement. Monken would've won with Stockton at QB because he understood you call plays based on the abilities of the players and by being unpredictable. That fumble Etienne lost was a result of the defense knowing what to expect and just laying a helmet on it. It's like Deja Vu from when Stafford's offense kept going 3 and out. No excuses for all the dropped passes, bad throws into coverage, bad blocking on the backside, not getting the ball to Frazier and Etienne in space, throwing screens for loss when you're down 2 scores in the 4th quarter, holding onto the ball for a long period of time with a less experienced QB and bad protection, and throwing to the end zone on 4th down instead of picking up the 1st. The plays that worked were abandoned later in the game, for who knows what reason? Pro style offense has been extinct for a while now. Even the pros are starting to leave it behind.

As an Irish fan first and foremost hats off to Georgia I would not call it a poorly coached effort by the Georgia coaching staff 2 costly turnovers in the end is what sealed the dawgs fate you all don’t have the defense of years past but they are a top 5 defense in the nation this year I knew if notre dame could get a few turnovers and put your quarterback in the pressure cooker we would have a chance also I think people under estimated the Irish coaching staff on offense and defense they are vary well seasoned as long as Kirby smarts at the helm there y’all will be a force to wrecking with also the stats also showed y’all should have won 24 to 10 turnovers were the deciding factor

Kirby got out coached today, and since this is a technically a Rebuilding season, I’ll let Kirby slide. But no excuses, should’ve won this game. That 14 point 4 minute deluge at the end of 2nd/beginning of 3rd was unforgivable.
Love my Dawgs. However our offensive game plan was terrible. We can't run the ball with a running qb. Also we can't stop a running qb to save our season. What gives? This is very upsetting. Not Gunners fault kid played great.

As an Oregon fan, I heard the receivers dropped a lot of passes this year, I could be mistaken but regardless, the offense has seemed to regress under Bobo. Georgia will be just fine, Kirby is relentless! My team regressed at the worst time possible 😂 #OregonAlwaysChokes
We need to work with 57, our left tackle. He couldn't block the sun from his eyes! Gunner was great! The 2 calls on the hits on our punter sucked! How much harder can a punter get hit before it's 15 yards!! How do schools like North Texas, Ragin Cajuns, UTSU, have great receivers, and ours can't catch a beach ball!
#FireBobo expect falling short when you shouldn't as long as we have less than mediocre coordinators, Schumann isn't anything special either. This is a talented team that had really bad leaders in the coaching department and needs to be called what it is.
@drefrmga our defense hasn't confused opposing offenses the past 2 years and also haven't produced much needed turnovers, our tackling hasn't been as good, our defense has had moments where they look like they're going to do great but it's so inconsistent that we've allowed big plays that shouldn't happen. I'm not as against Schumann as I am Bobo, because I'm sure there is some frustration created being put in situations the defense shouldn't have to be responsible for but they still should be prepared to stop or slow down the other team regardless and it isn't heading in the right direction. Kirby has blamed this team as not being as talented or physical, but the reality these guys are just not being coached as well as when we had Monken and Lanning, I'm aware that ship has sailed but need to find more elite coaches.

Kirby thinks going into the half behind 6-3 means they need to be aggressive? He screwed the defense over thinking a first time starter can drive 75 yards or whatever it was in less than a minute when they couldn’t get things going for 29 mins. He is getting good at deflecting from his poor decisions.
Well obviously if he knew our OL would whiff and get a strip sack and recover the ball he might not have gone for it. He’ll why run any plays at all since they might turn out bad? What a dumb take

Surprised no one asked Kirby about being overly aggeesive at the end of the half. With Beck you absolutely come out aggressive. With a first-time starter in Gunner you can't. Our left tackle got beat all game and that was the worst-case scenario. That was the choice of the game.
Tough game. I disagree with Kirby, I think the bye week and long time off hurt us. We didn't tackle well, and we didn't block well. And every single conference champ that had a bye lost.

Not calling for him to be fired necessarily but way too many screens. Seems like it is hard to get a rhythm on offense also. We run the ball successfully and then we go away from the run.🤷🏻♂️. Also I’m not a fan of trying to gain 2 yards while being lined up 5 yards in the backfield in shotgun. We have lost our identity as an offense.
Not a fair weather fan, not a Bobo fan either. He had 2 weeks to prepare for this game with Gunner at QB. Where are the options? Power reads? PA to TEs in short routes? Why does Etienne not even hit 50 yards? It's like he didn't adjust the offense for Gunner at all. He just wanted him to be Carson Beck.

ND's defense is the 8th ranked defense in the country. 6 of UGA's opponents had top 25 defenses in the country with 4 of those opponents having top 10 defenses in the country. 6 of UGA's 9 conference opponents were against the top 8 offenses in the country. 5 of UGA's opponents had offenses ranked top 25 in the country. So with that context, UGA averages 4.2ypc, 3 of those and you have a 1st down. UGA, in the SEC, is 3rd in passing yards and pass efficiency, pass attempts, passing touchdowns. That is while leading the SEC in drops. That's impressive considering that most of those drops probably came on 3rd down which takes the offense off the field. So no, I am not blind.
Been 1000% DAWG for 53 years and I can say. As long as Bobo is there I’m done watching them!!! I’m a rec coach and can tell you 80% of the time what we going to do so I know a defensive coach at the college level is knowing 90 to 95%. I’ll be back when he’s gone!!!
Many, many kudos to Kirby, staff, and the entire team. Our Dawg Nation has carried the Banner higher than injuries should have allowed. We lost a hard game to a good team, but that doesn't negate an excellent season, or SEC Championship. If the journalists and rabid fans - both who know it all - performed to Dawg level, we would see more more winners and less whiners among them. Go Dawgs!

Ga football is not ga football right now everyone seemed to blame beck and bobo which i think at times bobo has made some bad calls i agree and blame him more than beck but in my opinion our oline has been a big problem it doesnt matter whos the running back if there is nowhere to go and the pass protection hasnt been there either and that is the heart of an offense we have to improve there and at wr the drops are drive killers and when you are living in 3rd and long and your wrs lead the nation in drops isnt a good recipe for success. Worst UGA team I've seen in a long time today. So many mistakes...turnovers, penalties, etc. Very painful to watch as a lifelong fan. However, I AM PROUD that we won the SEC championship game. At least, Texas never beat us.

Gunner made good decisions but he did run for -23 yards total. That's not outstanding.

Kirby may not question the call just before the half, but the rest of the world does.
Look. I’m not on the hate bobo train, haven’t been all year. But I’m finally to the point where I think we can safely say we aren’t winning a natty with bobo as the coordinator. This offense has been abysmal all year. And coley is the receivers coach. Need to upgrade o line coach, receiver coach, and OC to nfl caliber staff. Bobo is not a bad play caller. He just makes too many costly calls at the wrong time in these big games. He constantly has us in 3rd and long because of his play calling. We converted on 3rd down like three times the whole game
Bobo has to go. Same old tired running plays and 2 yard screen passes behind the line of scrimmage 😂. Georgia is in trouble next year with him calling plays 🥶

Kirby thinks going into the half behind 6-3 means they need to be aggressive? He screwed the defense over thinking a first time starter can drive 75 yards or whatever it was in less than a minute when they couldn’t get things going for 29 mins. He is getting good at deflecting from his poor decisions.

Surprised no one asked Kirby about being overly aggeesive at the end of the half. With Beck you absolutely come out aggressive. With a first-time starter in Gunner you can't. Our left tackle got beat all game and that was the worst-case scenario. That was the choice of the game.

Tough game. I disagree with Kirby, I think the bye week and long time off hurt us. We didn't tackle well, and we didn't block well. And every single conference champ that had a bye lost.

Not calling for him to be fired necessarily but way too many screens. Seems like it is hard to get a rhythm on offense also. We run the ball successfully and then we go away from the run.🤷🏻♂️. Also I’m not a fan of trying to gain 2 yards while being lined up 5 yards in the backfield in shotgun. We have lost our identity as an offense.
Not a fair weather fan, not a Bobo fan either. He had 2 weeks to prepare for this game with Gunner at QB. Where are the options? Power reads? PA to TEs in short routes? Why does Etienne not even hit 50 yards? It's like he didn't adjust the offense for Gunner at all. He just wanted him to be Carson Beck.
UGA is about dead last in the SEC in rushing. UGA leads the SEC in passing attempts. UGA leads the SEC in drops. UGA has NO offense. Are you blind?

ND's defense is the 8th ranked defense in the country.
6 of UGA's opponents had top 25 defenses in the country with 4 of those opponents having top 10 defenses in the country.
6 of UGA's 9 conference opponents were against the top 8 offenses in the country.
5 of UGA's opponents had offenses ranked top 25 in the country.
So with that context, UGA averages 4.2ypc, 3 of those and you have a 1st down. UGA, in the SEC, is 3rd in passing yards and pass efficiency, pass attempts, passing touchdowns. That is while leading the SEC in drops. That's impressive considering that most of those drops probably came on 3rd down which takes the offense off the field.

Been 1000% DAWG for 53 years and I can say. As long as Bobo is there I’m done watching them!!! I’m a rec coach and can tell you 80% of the time what we going to do so I know a defensive coach at the college level is knowing 90 to 95%. I’ll be back when he’s gone!!!

Many, many kudos to Kirby, staff, and the entire team. Our Dawg Nation has carried the Banner higher than injuries should have allowed. We lost a hard game to a good team, but that doesn't negate an excellent season, or SEC Championship. If the journalists and rabid fans - both who know it all - performed to Dawg level, we would see more more winners and less whiners among them. Go Dawgs!

Ga football is not ga football right now everyone seemed to blame beck and bobo which i think at times bobo has made some bad calls i agree and blame him more than beck but in my opinion our oline has been a big problem it doesnt matter whos the running back if there is nowhere to go and the pass protection hasnt been there either and that is the heart of an offense we have to improve there and at wr the drops are drive killers and when you are living in 3rd and long and your wrs lead the nation in drops isnt a good recipe for success. Going foward gunner needs more experience we really could have used beck tonight but i really hope ga steps their portal game up cause we have holes on offense especially

Worst UGA team I've seen in a long time today. So many mistakes...turnovers, penalties, etc. Very painful to watch as a lifelong fan. However, I AM PROUD that we won the SEC championship game. At least, Texas never beat us.
