hey just want to say props for doing these streams, been wanting to do a c1 rewatch for a while but can never be bothered on top of trying to stay caught up with c3, seeing it as part of a transformative thing where there's commentary etc gives it a different flow that I'm really enjoying, excited to follow along however far you get :)

The bag of folding is literally just Erza's quick change magic from Fairy Tail. If you've never checked out the series, basically, she's not very talented as a wizard, but she's a really good fighter so she just has a bunch of magic weapons and armor that she quick changes between whenever needed
Oh hell yeah!!!! That's so sick! Honestly that's the ultimate fighter fantasy to me. I remember playing for the first time and debating on class, and being so shocked and excited that Fighters got proficiency in EVERYTHING, before the DM sort of clued me in on how much that didn't really matter all that much (much to my disappointment). I desperately wish that weapon / armor choice mattered more, I think it would make fighter an absolute blast to play without a single change to the class itself.
I am really happy to be getting to the episodes without Orion. Nothing against him, but I feel like the videos became about him more and more as time went onand he got worse. Now we can focus on the other players and the story
Why is it at 1.5 speed it’s really hard to follow. I understand needing to get through it quick. What about the pacing though?
As chat got bigger, a higher playback speed was basically just a requirement. Nowadays I do 1.25 for out of combat and 1.75 for combat, but I still rarely do 1. Otherwise the stream lengths just balloon to ludicrous times. Ultimately, the purpose of the higher speeds IS about pacing, it's just about the pace of my streams rather than CR as a show.
