Too bad dealers are price gouging. I looked into ordering a base Sport trim with the manual and the dealer wanted $3K over MSRP for it. And I'm a loyal customer who bought 4 Honda's from this dealer. What a bunch of thieves.
You've just described my fears of even going to a dealer. I've read nothing but horror stories of dealers gouging folks---sometimes even after they've agreed on a price and ordered one it comes in and they tack on more to the already agreed price. Just disgusting.
Hey
the sport comes in a manual?? 🤔🤔 I thought only the touring and hatchback did
@@captinbeyond
same as those from Asia
I hated these when first released but the hatchback is really growing on me.
And I'm glad Honda is still offering a real transmission.
I think the CVT model is really cool too.
@@notch747 they're both good, I'm glad they're appealing to mass markets and enthusiasts
@@GavinPhillips 100% agree!
There's nothing like adding more gears and intentionally rubbing parts to an engine that operates at low efficiency through most of its range and is operated by a monkey, to improve "performance".
It still looks off to me. Especially the front. But it doesn't look bad, it just reminds me of a 2014 refresh accord. I guess it just doesn't look new enough. If I got a Civic it'd b the 2016-21 model
the whole car feels like a throwback to the 90s models and I love it!
U9
Yup, definitely agree!!
where?
I had a ‘96 Civic and this feels very close. Not sure if it’s the low hood or what but it really reminds me of it.
munsaif
This body style deserves the 'Si' trim.
Well this body style gets the type r trim but yes the si would b more affordable in this trim
2023 Acura Integra
Congratulations, you've taken it to the next level 👏
Man, Honda keeping it alive with those manual transmissions in the Civic! I love it.
A reminder to everyone, the next-gen Acura Integra will most likely share this platform.
The future is bright!
Yeah for $10k more. Why buy the Acura when the Civic shares it’s underpinnings?
@@camlife6930 True, but if theres gonna be a Type-S version, i'd absolutley want it over an Si.
@@camlife6930 Acura got awd tho
Zoom zoom zoom into a warmer future.
@@camlife6930 I can think of one reason: if the Integra (base) will essentially be a Civic Si with a hatchback form and leather seats (LSD, selectable sport/DD suspension settings). But yeah, this HB scratches pretty much all my itches as is; I don't track and so don't drive (corner) aggressively enough for an LSD to really matter 99% of the time, and I am guessing I will be able to Hondata tune the Civic HB ST for Si-like engine power if I ever feel like it
Great video. The shifting looks so smooth.
Just POV driving with a manual is like meditation
Such a nice quiet drive and review. Love it.
Got mine in Black this evening, It had all of 6 miles on it........Can't wait to see it in the daylight tomorrow AM.
The lines of this car have really grown on me.
I got one of these bad boys for my 17th birthday as my first car, and I didn’t know how to drive a manual but my father and uncle taught me how to drive it. And still currently own it. Car is so fun 😅
Gorgeous scenery.
Haha I've been waiting for this to drop since it got mentioned on TheTopher. I went and ordered a sport touring hatchback the day after that video. Should be here in the next few weeks! Can't wait to see it in person, but these reviews make it a lot easier to know what I'm getting myself into.
did you test drive the car first before ordering one?
@@MrChickenspit They mentioned watching reviews *after* they ordered it seems like no. I highly doubt they test drove it.

Honda nailed it with this one
This is a legendary car❤
Great video love these little Hondas
Finally some manual
I’m loving the civic
I love honda. I have a new HRV here in Bogota Colombia and i love it.
Beautiful car!
I love that civic
I wasn't too keen on this Civic when it first came out, but with this hatchback, well, I'll admit I'd like to try one now
After a long time Topher is in the channel.
As a former 2020 Civic Si owner I am sad to see the rev hang is still there in the 1.5T , I was hoping they would get rid of it this generation.
Manufacturers aren't ever going to get rid of rev hang because its an emission related thing. it's only going to get worse as emissions regulations become ever more stringent.
The Si is supposed to have a much lighter flywheel than the regular models, and lighter than the last gen Si.. That should help a lot
Honda has done nothing with the 1.5L Turbo however added V-tec to the exhaust and updated the program data to boost Torque and HP. I would also imagine that Oil Dilution will still exist as a problem in both the 2022 and 2023 models. You should consider selling your Si and buying a 2023 Type R.
@@richscott2483 Oil dilution hasn't been a thing for nearly half a decade.
Now I finally understand why there are life backs like this. You get most of the space of a traditional hatchback without having a hatch swinging back at you.
Man i love your driving skills!
Okay! but I loved it less. Honda has a long way to get it right if this is the best that they can do.
nice video . I like it ❤️
Manual 😍
wow nice😍😍🥰🥰, take care guys
Cambios demasiado anticipados
Si es verdad le falta esperiencia a este conductor mete los cambios muy pronto
The rear of the hatchback version looks super weird. I like it.
Pretty coolest Car ever & even the interior look luxurious and comfortable 😊
Love what Honda has done for the Civic this generation, so far. Hoping to see the Acura counterpart...
the integra reveal was such a disappointment
IT'S BORIIIING
Cant wait for the Type R 👀
Could you do a pov night drive of this honda civic 2022 hatchback manual
Love the new look and tech the only thing I hope Honda/Acura would fix are the body panel gaps inconsistency. Most of the time the panels are either closer or wider from the right to the left side of the car esp around the hood and trunk.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this. Panel gaps were a huge problem on my 2001 civic.
Caught a second gear. Nice.
Very good 😎👍👍
Very cool video 👍 and very cool place.
where did you film this video ?
USA or Canada.
Love the rear end, it's handsome
I never came this early before.
same here
Hopefully she doesn’t see an issue with that
First time I see manual car with electronic handbrake
Thinking about trading my 13 accord sport 6mt in on this car! impressive!
Thinking the same - 2018 Accord Sport 6mt
I hope you kept your Accords as there are no more Accords with manuals being made. Like ever again 😢
I love this color: sonic gray pearl
Big fan 🌹
lovely..
You turn the new engine so high it's a waste of the engine. This is visually the best Honda ever and interior very nice.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
nice car
It's crazy how nice cars are now.
you drive very well, the street scenery is beautiful, what city is this? I will subscribe to support youto channel
Cars 💪
Does the manual version have engine auto start/stop? I know the automatic trans do.
I am disappointed that the 1.5 turbo is being discontinued in 2025. Will that devalue my
24 hatchback with the 1.5?
Those A pillars are 90’s civic thin!
Nice car

2021 honda civic!!!!
The back is so tesla !!
I still own and drive my 1992 Civic hatch. It was made in the pre 'Big Gulp' era so the drink holders are for regular human size beverages - in other words, you can't put gallon bevies in it 👍
I recently put new mirrors and wheel covers on, and did a good go over with Maguire's. It has not quite 100,000 miles on it.
Also, the rear seats fold down in mine - they don't in this new one. And I do not like that distracting screen propped up in middle of dash.
But it's pretty and compact, which is good. And it's a Honda 👍
Quality is great for its segment some say , is it true ?
Why didn't they made the si a hatchback? The hatback looks so much better
❤️❤️
Muita gente fala que a honda emitou a vw por causa que a versão sedan parece muito o jetta
This car's look grows on you with time
So sad, Honda does not sell MT version in our country :(
Is that a six speed manual?
Sold!
I really want to buy this when me 16
That manual is goals, but wtf is that rear?
Japonés de pura cepa,hermoso!!
The best Japanese car and also Corolla
Could someone tell me where this is? The place looks cool and the scenery as well
Ann Arbor in Michigan for sure
@@tufcat722 thanks a lot
Very wide road. In my country there are many motorbikes and broken road sometimes flood. Jakarta
That rev hang tho :/
Sayang ny di Indonesia gak ada versi yang manual
This place is osam whats the location please?
Hello! Requesting Nissan Patrol 2021.
Well, the country wherein about 90% of its total population drives automatic still offers 6MT option for the new Civic while Philippine-spec Civics only gets CVT while majority of its population prefer manuals. It's a shame though.
1rq
Can anyone explain why i would want manual over automatic?
It's just preference really. I like manual because it's fun and gives me something to do, more control, feel ability to engine break. And plus the newer ones are effortless to modulate compared to the older manuals. But it comes down to preference man.
Basically more control and fun. Automatic cars are comfortable but boring as hell.
Carro popular de 200 mil reais.
Just a quick question I tried to watch the gauge cluster as closely as I could, but was looking for something that my car has that actually helps the driver Know when its time to shift to lets say get the Best gas Mileage, meaning on my cars dash, when its time to shift, a Yellopw arrow appears on it and that tells the driver when its time to shift to the next gear, do you happen to know if this Civic has this by chance???
On the rpm dial you have a green part, and that is where it should be the most efficient.
Literally, if you drive manual and aren't new you'll figure out where the car is best happy... you don't need a light to tell you as it won't know if you're driving up and down hills or the load (trailers) and yeah... you should be capable of feeling each car under a manual, it's not that hard.
That arrow would piss me off honestly.

Es un orgasmo.manejar ese carro algo muy excitante
En sedan no hay transmision manual?
I ran out and bought the gen 10 sport hatch 3 months ago (same color) when I seen the 22 release picture. Yep Gen 11 lost the “sport” in the stying. Still nice
The placement of the touchscreen is terrible. It’s like they didn’t even try to integrate it into the dash.
Looks like Ann Arbor
the hatchback is better than the sedan
Son buenos los carros
Hatchback ?, that car looks more like a fastback or ilftback than a hatchback
Türkiyeye gelecek mi
Why does every Honda manual have rev hang? It totally ruins the experience of having a manual in the first place
Emissions. Luckily it can be programed out.
only 5 gears?

I hate that rev hang
