I had a very basic doubt madam. Let say normal load on a column is 50Tonnes so we design that column factoring the load and thus taking 75Tonnes for its final design. Now, while designing footing we need to multiply 50 by 1.1 or 75 by 1.1
@@DrSuchitaHirde_CivilEnggVideos So, in that case if 60 tonnes of load occurs on column then it would sustain and transfer to footing, but Footing would fail as we have taken 50 x 1.1 = 55 Tonnes for footing design, am I correct here madam ?
Excellent 🔥
Thanks

Sure. I will try after some days

Size on the basis of 50 x 1.1

Since thickness of footing is decided on the basis of factored upward soil pressure, it will not fail.
thankyou madam 🙏
