You don't need to mix the rice with the sambal if you're not into spicy stuff 😅 I like spicy food, but I prefer to taste my dish individually with my perfect white rice so I never mix any soup or curry or sambal directly with my rice. I would usually take a little bit of each dish and then take the rice in my palm and eat it xD

Firstly. Welcome to Malaysia 😊 On the subject of the sambal for the nasi lemak. You can use the yolk to coat the sambal. I find that it helps to tone down the spiciness of the sambal. Maybe it's just me but it does do the trick for me at least.
Again. Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you enjoy all the time spent and also all the food that can be consumed 😁

The quality of chicken in Malaysia is, in the main, consistently a high standard. KFC is excellent in Malaysia. To be honest Malaysian food isn't all that spicy by SEA standards. Thai is far spicier but traditionally it was often that way to disguise the quality of the meat and at times the heat is over done at the expense of other spices. Malaysian cuisine is definitely high quality. There are less recipes than Thai cuisine but many of the Thai recipes are actually very similar to each other.

Goncang = Shake.. it can also mean Jacking off. Pronounced Gone - Chung (like when you say Chugging down a beer, with the N sneaking its way in)

If you cannot handle spicy food, you could request for less sambal. Or eat a bit with rice first.
