- Today Kosmo and I are back competing in another challenge, this time the hovercraft race! We each have 15 minutes to build a functional hovercraft and race on a twisting course full of obstacles!

Gotta say, Kosmo always has the most hilarious and interesting solutions to design problems and I could just watch him try to build something with no prior knowledge for hours.
Do a normal race with glitches Butt no thrust with monsters truck wheels and also do it with scrap man

I gotta say Kosmo did a great job on his hovercraft. I'm thinking about getting scrap mechanic myself, any tips
The biggest tip I can give for scrap mechanic is just have patience. It takes awhile to learn all the tips and tricks but once you do the game is even more fun.
You also need strong pc. Alot of physics in big builds can quickly ruin your fps
If your car doesn't work as intendend, just drive backwards.
Tip: If you like trains, resist the urge, I spend 7+ hours today trying to make trains work but SM physics kinda hate trains
Get a good pc, my pc can’t handle SM it is so laggy I get probably 10 fps
you should do an upgraded version of the noob build at the end like going through it and fixing any issues

Kan for many years you've played scrap mechanic and you still dont realize that hover crafts need a strafe control and not just a rotation control because hover craft's arent cars they dont have the friction for dodgeing and weaving with normal rotation steering and that's why you need a ability to strafe left and right while moving

@@xboxblakeyjnr8280 Since hovercraft don’t have any friction to the ground they also have to have strafing in combination with rotation
I think the control would be improved greatly in kan's build if he just double assigned the turning thrusters to strafe controls as well. Blasting both thrusters on one side would make a lot of difference in avoiding obstacles.
It would be effective if it were possible.
Or logic blocks could help with that. Just pop buttons for strafe and it basically works

I think Kan's Hovercraft would perform a lot better if he increased his base hover height so that when he goes over uneven terrain, he's less likely to bottom out and skid the craft. I also noticed someone mention double assigning your turning thrusters to strafe as well which I think is an amazing idea as well.
I would do double sensors, the least range would go into an OR gate, the most range and a switch (or instead of just a switch, all sensors going into XOR gate and that going into OR gate No. 2 with the switch going into it) into an AND gate, which goes into the aforementioned OR gate
I'm comparing this to his old hovercraft video and seeing if he has improved

I'm waiting until it becomes a competitive versus. I'll still watch. I don't really play Scrap Mechanic but... I love seeing how everything works.

We need to see Kosmo on Multiplayer Monday! He can't possibly do any worse than Comodo did in the challenges, he'll probably be better.
The building part of this is just really fun to watch and reminds me of why I love to see speed builds
Challenge idea: make a plane that has to drop an explosive on a cardboard target on the ground and whoever hits the closest in three rounds wins.
Bonus round: in a giant sphere u guys will battle it out by trying to drop bombs onto the other planes. Also I just recently found your channel and love it!👌😂👍

You should’ve made the steering thrusters a lot stronger so you could spin around and brake with your forward engines. Also, floating higher might’ve helped
I love this series, once kosmo is no longer a noob, he should join muliplayer monday - suggest, bombs as wheels, used anyway you want but bombs must contact the ground
i love the idea of at the end of the video helping kosmo revamp his creation but the way he views it? so he can learn, we can learn and see the epic visions kosmo has.
I like it when you have scrapman and he puts antimatter thrusters on things and they launch into the sixth dimension, I also like Kosmo cause he's funny^^
kAN's hovercraft should have been a little wider maybe just 2 blocks

This build was great. I built one of these myself and it is a fantastic hovercraft, thank you.
I think the 3rd race was combination od the build and your skill. I'd love to see Kosmo's redone with a tire skirt for bumps and the suspension added, just and idea for the set up for the start of the next Noob vs pro. You could show the modified version of how you would change Kosmo's or get it to work in the earlier cases.

I'm two years late on the videos but I believe thrusters on top set to an invert of the bottom sensors would keep you at a more moderated height and allow for more consistent control.
Such a cool looking and working design! Definitely needs a strafe and roll button though

The difference between the two is so astounding
I think with a smart gate and sensors you could have emergency side thrusters set to maximum power that would trigger when you are starting to flip, they would compensate the roll rotation. Same thing could be said with front and back to reduce the Pitch problems when getting airborne.

Hey kan, the next hovercraft you make should have strafe
crane game. you make a crane that fits within a certain size area and have to pickup items from outside that area. the twist however is you cannot weld the creations to the ground at all!
You should’ve put the constant thrusters on sensors with higher settings, so that it falls faster when it gets air

You need to add more thrusters to the side to push the hover craft inward during turns to avoid drifting.

the main issue with your vehicle kan is that it has no downwards thrusters, i would have put a down thruster at front and back, hooked up to a not gate and a sensor, so that whenever your vehicle went higher up than it should it would be forced down. it would work even better on Kosmo's hovercraft because he could put one on each corner and make it so whenever the corner's up thruster was off it would turn on that corner's down thruster

You should have a parkour multiplayer Monday were you build parkour courses instead of cars
You should do the no engine, no button,and no switches challenge so you have to use sensors and thrusters or a piston engine with sensors
Anti-Roll Challenge - You must make a vehicle that uses sensors and pistons to upright itself automatically.

I have a potential solution for if you get too much air
Have a secondary pair of sensors pointing down that activate thrusters that push down when the sensors are not activated, while the sensors have a range that is a bit higher than the first set of sensors
You should do a loot box race
What if instead of the thrusters being at a constant 45 degree angle, they move between like 25 and 45 degrees to automatically balance the roll?
