- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic! Today I am attempting to make a spud powered hovercraft! I've made cars, rockets, and sleds using spud power, but a hovercraft requires a bit more control over the power output of the spud guns. Let's see how it turns out!

MM idea: build vehicles out of cardboard or scrapwood, then go to the arena of tapebots and who survives the longest time wins. Your vehicles have to be build with limited amount of material, you lose when you can not drive anymore

You can just built 1 logic loop and hook it up into an AND gate for each independent set of spudguns.
Yep would be so much better
That was actually Cool,
But you could replace all of those loops with one master loop and connect the controls with and gates to reduce the complexity.

I have realised a topic. 9:37 in the background you will hear music scrapman usually uses for raids. People like the music but don’t know what it is called. This music is called *Chariots of War*
Put a suspension on every vertical (and the angled ones) set of spud guns!
It should improve your stability by a lot! =)

I feel you could use suspension on the stabilizer spud guns, that way they will absorb most of the impact resulting in smooth recoil eliminating that jittering effect where it kinda bounces around in the air

Reminds me of Meet The Heavy from TF2, where he talks about how expensive it is to shoot 'Tasha for 12 seconds.
I mean, it will be shooting about 2k spuds every minute at minimum...
We need more Spud Containers.
There is no way you could build that and have it working in survival, not the assembly part that's doable but I saying having the creation fly with spuds.

*Haven't watched the video yet so idk if he's done it already.* I suggest that you make only one logic repeater and then just an "and" gate on each spud gun that controls it.
Now THAT'S a 'bang-bang' control loop!! :D
The best way to prevent tilting is to increase the torque feet required to turn the creation, it requires more torque the longer something gets for it to rotate, so if you really have an issue, increase length or width but still keep your correcting propulsion toward the center

I loved this video concept. It was a perfect balance of experiment and satisfaction. It's just so fun to keep going and improving it. I need a game like this.

The way it worked with those swarms makes me wonder if you could build a survival vehicle that has 4 wheels all protected by blades, and hangs you above the ground with downward facing spud guns on a sensor so they automatically shoot at anything that goes underneath the car.

MM idea: turret cars, there will be four people in two teams one from each team will build a turret and the other wil build a four by four it will be then welded on each other and there will be free competing sessions. First will be a race where u can't shoot second will be a target practice and third will be a massacre.hope this ispired, have fun

MM idea: You should do a spud gun howercraft battle
I've silently wanted him to do this for so long
For better stability, have the upwards thrust farther away from the center of the build. Maybe two on each arm of the hovercraft.
He should make an aerial assault vehicle and use it to fight tape and explosive tape bots. Maybe he can even add rockets and other counter measures
You should make a belt of spud guns that has a sensor on each one so when it sees a certain block it will fire (basically a belt fed machine gun but with potatoes)

Scrapman, a Feedback loop is NOT a problem!
A sensor measures the distance to the ground. This measurement is used to fire de spud-gun and control the distance to the ground. Then this distance is measured again. THIS is a negative* feedback loop, meaning that your control system subtracts the difference** .
*"Negative" doens't mean "bad" here. It means subtractive.
** "Difference" means the "error": the difference between your DESIRED position and your ACTUAL position.
Your vehicle starts to increase in oscillation when your system is in positive feedback loop. This means that some error is being added to the system at each reading of the sensor
This is the Scrap Mechanic equivalent of the Machinegun Jetpack from Jetpack Joyride

Here's an idea for multiplayer. Build a snake and play a game of snake.
You can play as most kills within a time limit or as teams with most kills.

I made a vanilla spud gun (8 sequenced together position edited) that shoots once per tick; that is 40 spuds per second if I remember correctly
way more spuds a second that's at least 500 spuds a second

did you know in survival you can use the spud gun on crops and it instantly grows them and it puts down potato's on the dirt but this is for me at least and you don't even need water
Feel like this needs upwards spudguns to give some counteraction and stabilization
You should do this for MPM but have tasks to complete with them like race and obstacle course and maybe a few others.
U could have used a single logic loop and just AND gates for each set of guns

I think you should do a spid hovercraft multiplayer Monday with a race and bot fighting maybe each person can spawn 3 red guys behind them to disrupt others
You should do this but in trailmakers
I would of made a master timer or 2 master timers
And use one extra logic block on and for activation of other things so you can keep the mass down
