Great tutorial, with a few caveats. Stateside Saabs to my knowledge have a emergency trunk release that has to be dealt with. No big deal, it just doesn't allow you to completely remove lid liner. Also the plastic fasteners have push pin centers that must be 'released' before panel can come off. Lastly, my replacement antenna had two leads. One for telecommunications & the other for gps. Your results may vary! 😁👍
One of the easiest installs every on the verts! Btw the newer blade style on the 08+ will fit on the older units, but the connectors are different. I just left mine unplugged. They look wicked good on the vert trunk.
Great video. I also bought my replacement from Suffolk Saab (very helpful), don't drop the nut down into the framework like I did, I never did get it back out and the replacement does not come with a nut (which I thought it would have)
any video on replacing the small whip Ariel on the scuttle with a powered DAB one ? as those window DAB Ariel's especially on a convertible look pants .

Good points. I assume you have a pre facelift with an ICM3 if you have telecoms in your sharkfin
