Południowy (or południe) means south, so you can basically say Sosnowiec South. It is pronounced Sosnovietz Powoodnyovy (You say it quite good). Główny means Main and is pronounced kind of like Gwoovny. Katowice is like Katovitzeh, Sędziszów is kind of a hard one - the closest would be Senjeeshoove. Oh, and that "ł" is always pronounced like "W" from many English words like window, want, where. In many Polish station names you will often see, "Północ/Północny/Północna", "Południe/Południowy/Południowa" "Wschód/Wschodni/Wschodnia" and "Zachód/Zachodni/Zachodnia" which are cardinal directions names - North, South, East and West and they indicate which part of the city or town those stations are situated in

Additionally, name Sosnowiec could be literally translated as Pines City 😜

This video kinda motivates me into trying the dispatcher role in simrail. I got this game very recently so I am still learning. Nice video!

Your Polish pronunciation is far better than the most of English speaking players I watched, at least you try to read and not guess 😉
You could always check the pronunciation in Google Translate if you have a doubt 😊

Thanks! As a foreign language nerd, I do try my hardest when it comes to saying words in another language.

    Katowice: /kætəˈviːtsə/ "KAT" + "O"(as in hot) + "VEETS" + "E"(as in red)
    Sosnowiec: /sɒsˈnɒvjɛts/
    Południowy: /pɔwudɲɔvɨ/ "PO" + "WOOD" + "NEE" + "OV" + "Y"(as in rhythm)

I will tell you now, the moment the manual switches come into use, the only thing that will get me out of this Dispatch box will be the forced server restarts xD

Such unprofessionalism and misunderstanding of how it works is not to be found... if there is a misunderstanding of what the "main" track and "side" tracks are and why they are indispensable. Entrance and departure semaphore (traffic light)... why is it necessary to run somewhere? you have a connection with other dispatchers and a schedule that needs to be fulfilled!

....... Sir, it's a video game. Trainsim it may be, but given it's a video game, some ultra realism can and will get thrown out the window in the name of fun for some people.
You want it to be played ultra-ralistic, you can by all means do so yourself when you play it. It does not mean you can force others to play it in the exact same way. Let people have their fun dude.

Well my videos have proven I'm everything a professional isn't.
If you want someone with a professional understanding of how railways work, then perhaps watching a video game played by an immature 19 year old who has never worked a day on a real railroad, isn't the type of content you should be watching. Besides I tend go in having never played before, so I'm learning and making mistakes as I play and it makes for more interesting video. Video games are nice, because it gives non-professional railroaders like myself a safe environment to experiment, make mistakes, learn, have fun and get a feel of what it could be like to work on a Polish railway without endangering the lives of real people.
So instead of video games, maybe you should put your "professional" railroading skills to use and go work for a real railroad if professionalism is what you want. Cause I'm no professional, and although there are professional railroaders that would play Simrail, I would bet many of us aren't.
And for your question "Why is it necessary to run somewhere?" It's necessary, because no one wants to sit through a 30 minutes video, watching me stare at a virtual computer screen the whole time. Sometimes there's downtime with 10-30 minutes between trains, and I could just do a jump cut and only show when I'm routing trains. But then the pacing becomes choppy, and too much of the same since each train is point A-B, and there's no special or complicated routings that I have to do to get a train to where it needs to go. Especially at a station like this one, where I'm handling an average of one train at a time, and they're always going to same destination in each direction. So to counteract this and to fill the void during moments of down time, I go exploring. That way the time gap between trains is filled, and it isn't just train after train after train. Then when there is a train, we come back with a fresh mind, route the train into the station and off the map. And to make it interesting, I "run somewhere" to meet the train and get cool cinematic shots. That way we're not staring at a virtual computer screen, because that's boring.

Man, even as a freight train engineer for 7 years, I dont mind this dude just being confused about stuff, so your comment absolutely pisses me off. Its a god damn video game but ppl being so serious about stuff is exactly why sim community sucks. Learn to have fun, I my self, do play these games to let off some steam and have fun doing goofy stuff with ppl. Its already serious enough irl, no need to by pissed individuals about fun in game as well. Wanna be realistic try-hard? Do so, but dont force it on others.
