Check out my vids on how to disassemble and reassemble the PR900, this will show you all you need to know. Just for your info the PR900 and stormrider are almost the same rifle. The Chaser is a great Toy, i‘ve shot one a few weeks ago in a buddy’s basement and it was fun. Think i would buy one for indoor shooting but i already have my PP700S-A and a Baikal MP61 for that (plus a Glock 17 and a PPQ CO2).
    The big plus of the PP700 for me is that i can adjust power over the hammerspring and the regulator and dont need Co2 caps to shoot, a few strokes with the pump and I’m ready to go 😉.
    Great Video, thank you for sharing

    So you might have a tiny increase in power for a few hundred shots but that spring is damaged so it will give less power than standard after a while . A upgraded heavy spring costs just a few quid so might as well just buy it . Also i've done alot of working with this rifle and to have any real gains you need to open to ports and valve up

    Ok i couldn't find anything for a spacer so i followed your instructions on stretching the spring and shot at my normal target which is just a box filled with more boxes that always stops my pellets. Well it blew the back out of the boxes and went through the front of my bathroom door. Thank you for the awesome video sir.😜

    You should also do a video on drilling the transfer port. I did this on my Diana Stormrider, and got the gun back to its 900FPS factory setting, from the detune in came it. I will be doing the same with this gun. I mean, you can buy the 3.5mm transfer port, but it comes detuned in Canada. Unless, of course, the transfer port is already set at 3.5mm.

    I dont know if I have told you that I made several transfer ports for crosman, beeman, and pretty sure itll work on the cp2, out of the innards of a regular tire valve. Cut the rubber off the outside and you'll have either a hard copper or brass lookng piece. Cut it down to length needed, you can get several out of it. Take the valve stem out and drill it out then take a rat tail file and finish smoothing it on the inside . After you cut it off to length. (The inside is done), push the piece onto the file end and hold it loosely in one hand holding it with a little pressure against a small barrell sander on a dremel taking down each end to fit the t/f port holes. from each end and leave the bevel in the middle to anchor it between the breech and the valve. Allow it to spin in your hand to get an even take down of material..Anyway if you ever need some dont sweat it I'll make you some!!...unless you do it first!..

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  2 роки тому

      Yes most definitely and that is due to there being more air and at higher pressures on the pcp, it is louder for sure. A bigger supressor will be needed on the PR900 to make it as quiet as the CP2.

    hi Tyron, yes and no, i don't actually wish to lower my fps, my aim is only to reduce excess air power, so if i could click it down until the first hint of a drop in fps, to then go back one click, and if my math is ok, it would increase the shot count of the co2 capsule by 20% whilst still retaining the original fps

      @kristian evans Thanks for your comment. You are correct in that the gun will be harder to load however the spring won't loose it's tension. I actually done a similar mod about 2 months ago where I stretched the spring to just over 75mm and as can be seen in the video it was still the same length. Changing the spring in the co2 valve is another way to increase the fps. If you check out my previous video it is 1 of the options I mentioned. @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  Рік тому

      It doesn't really get shorter no, I stretched mine and after a year of regular use it was still the same length. What you are changing is the length and this has an effect as more pressure is needed then to compress the spring. Stretching or pre-tensioning will have similar effects

      @Ray so when it comes to springs if you want to increase the force/tension the spring exerts you have 2 options. 1. You can pre-tension the spring by basically compressing it but keeping the same working length or 2. You stretch the spring but keep the same working length. This upgrade is truly easy at zero cost, but unfortunately not lasting long. If we achieve the lenght increase by puling the spring after numerous shots it slowly goes back to its original size . The best way is just to order a springs with the following sizes : for Diana Chaser pistol original size is 70 mm / 1 mm wire / ext. diameter 10mm . you can go up to 90 mm , but safely go for 85 mm . For diana chaser rifle the original spring is 75 mm and you can go up to 95 mm, but it's better with 90 mm. In both cases you definitely winning the increase of the velocity , but losing significant number of shots . But as we all know : The fun have no unreachable cost . Cheers !

      Я, пошёл немного по другому пути. Порты увеличил до 4,2 мм, массу ударника, свинцовыми пулями 1,0 г на 5-6 г, и уменьшил пружину ударника до 65 мм. Сделал мод для клапана. Это, на длинном стволе. Пружину заказывал новую 1,0*10*90. В итоге, с 12 г со2 18-20 выстрелов пробвающих доску 20 мм с 5 м, и консервную банку, насквозь, с 20 м. Калибр 5,5, пуля 1,04 г. На 20 м кучность 20-25 мм, с оптикой, конечно.
      На короткий ствол, ставлю родную пружину и убираю утяжеление ударника до 2 г, с целью убрать перерасход со2. Но, делаю это редко. В основном, пользуюсь длинным стволом. Для него и делал моды...

      I live in California. No chrony. Shot a book both with the Storm and anew break barrel of normal power. Both guns in .22 went roughly the same depth so I don’t know if the breaker is still dieseling or if the Storm is just a little over 800 fps. It's going to take some time to break them both in as I don’t have a backyard and have to drive almost 3 hours to dispersed lands where I can shoot books.

      @Damon Le Gall my PR900 came out producing about 25fpe, at 800fps with 14.5gr pellets I suspect you will be around 20fpe which is a little lower than normal. Dear Tyrone , in this video , you have done one modification by stretching the hammer spring and you get over 800fps. But in your previous video (3 ways to increase fps on cp2) , you have done the hammer spring stretching plus add in spacers and also the valve spring weakening , and you only get 740fps . I noticed that you were using 7.5 grains pellet in both situations. Why more modificatons but less power ?😅

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  2 роки тому +1

      @Travis Compton well basically on mine I have done 3 mods. 1 insert an 8mm spacer, this will give you around 10% fps increase and 25% loss in shot count. 2 stretch spring to 90mm that gives about 10%fps increase and a shot count of about 20 per capsule left. The 3rd upgrade is more permanent and not reversable and would probably leave you at around 750fps with an 8gr pellet in 177. A final shot count of a out 15 shots.

      It depends on which mods you do as some work better together with other mods. With all the mods you can expect between 10-15% fps increase with about 50% loss in shot count

    uhm.... But isnt the rifle CO2 powered? -If so, the pressure propels the pellet and the spring only makes the hammer hit a relaese valve.... So stretching the spring only makes the trigger harder and increse wear and abuse on the recieving valve... It won increase the muscle velocity of the pellet at all.... at best you shave micro seconds of the delay between pulling the trigger and the pellet being fired....
    but by weakening the valve spring you might get a little more airpressure released that MIGHT accelerate the pellet a bit more before it leaves the barrel I guess...
    -But thats just my humble guesses based on my mechanical experience and smidge of knowledge about airpressure... No way near my normal electricians ballpark...
    Edit: after seeing the small increase in fps my guess is that the hammer spring normally doesn't push the valve entirely to its fully open position, wich might be a purposely calculated setting to avoid the valve being slammed open, causing wera and tear over time.
    So yeah, bot tweaking tha hammer and valve springs could give a little gain in fps as you prooved... but it comes with a risk of increased wear... that might be so slight it really isnt of concern. Especially if you can fix issues youself... :)

    Uneducated procedure. Waste of time, spring memory plastic and elastic deformation to be considered.
