When I heard 362 my head literally spun to the screen I like was good lord that’s cooking, but figured it was a mess up. I love the sound difference from heavy to light arrows
I think if someone is wanting a Turbo model they should wait until next year when it gets put together on the new riser. think this particular model is really a year behind bc of covid.
It's not gonna happen my friend. The reason they used this Riser is,bcuz the Twin Turbo needs the Exra Strength at the pockets and limb connections to handle the speed from this speed bow. What I don't understand is how it draws easier for me from beginning to end. But only my pro shop guy agrees w me on that. But I can honestly say that i shot all 3 of these carbon bows all Back to back. So I can 100% say it stacks so easy at first draw into the solid Back wall.. And I kinda like the way the, RX5 riser looks vs, new Riser..Cant wait to set-up tomorrow and play with it
Shot this bow today. Loved it. Gonna be buying it. Smoothest carbon bow this yr.. vs RX7, And Ultra. Pretty crazy bcuz my buddy @Haxenhunt loved the RX7 ultra. So yeah twin turbo is the smoothest drawing hands down. I love it.💙🎯
It's not though, the RX7 U has a much smoother draw ... lol. I shot both back to back. You can even see in the video he has trouble getting past that hump at the end......
Sounds like ya dodged a arrow on that video 🤪...keep at it , love the great info you share and the bow ya sold me (3vx29) try to shoot it every day ...cheers
Great review..are you going to do a review on the PSE! evo xf 30 with the new cams? I'm interested in the short draw one being I have a 28 inch draw..thank you
I really wish reviewers would call this bow what it really is. There's no shame in it and I actually applaud Hoyt for not labeling this in the RX-7 family. In any other year, this would have been an RX-5 Turbo released along side the rest of the '21 models in Nov of '20 rather than their Jan '21 release but with Covid causing the delays this bow was pushed to this year. Remember, the carbon portion of the riser is going to be the same across all the models with the differences being achieved via the aluminum end caps and on occasion limb length. I'm sure Hoyt had already allocated a % of their RX-5 risers for Turbos and it's not as if those parts can just be written off. I get the fact they had to build this bow and understand why it wasn't out as a '21 model. I just wish more of the folks reviewing the Twin Turbo would acknowledge this. I'm a short draw archer and I'll avoid writing a book about why to me this bow is just a bandaid to a sore spot for me with Hoyt starting back at the RX-1. However I will say having shot both the RX-7 and this I don't even think the two are in the same league. Draw length range aside, the RX-7 is a huge breath of fresh air for fans of Hoyt carbons. Not only is it finally getting back to the roots of what made the carbon riser popular in feel and weight but also getting back to those Z5 speed levels. Again, I get why the Twin Turbo has to exist but I think putting the $50 premium on it is bad form. This should be at least $100 less than the RX-7 and expecting anything more from what is in all honesty last year's technology is insulting.
Yep. Is made with unsold risers from the RX5 generation, just changing the cams and limbs. Is stifer, louder, heavier and almost as expensive, no no reaons to consider it over the Ultra, which aside from speed is better at everything (including looks). I'm more interested in review of the Highline, which no one seems to have (despite being anounced a month ago). So far only saw the Podiour Archer review about it.
@@michaelmangino9819 Where I live the only way I have to try a compound is either ordering it or to borrow it from a fellow archer in the club. So no, I din't shoot it, but taking in account that has the same MSRP as the RX7 Ultra while lacking the new riser, integrated picatiny rail (you need to assemble it) and how the bow sounds compared to other reviews with the RX7 and RX7 Ultra I wouldn't pick the Twin Turbo over the others in any scenario. By the way I currently have a PS3 Supra Focul XL and just ordered a Elite Remedy; the Mathews Atlas and the Hoyt Highline were in the race until a week ago in which I finally chose the Remedy (due versatility), but I'm brand agnostic and I'm sure I'll end with a Hoyt or a Mathews any other year.
There have been several other videos like this one from other bow shops. The one variable hard to control is accuracy of the fps measurements, which gets to brand, calibration, and the person shooting the bow. In the other videos, your fps measurements were quite similar until the lower arrow weights, then it differed a bit from theirs. Speaking generally, could these differences be contributed to the accuracy of the machines used by all, including yours? Thank you for the video.
Hey buddy I'm picking up my Twin Turbo on this coming tues.. What's the best Centershot to set this sweet bow at? Also I'm 28.5 draw what modules the best one. Thanks, I think this is the smoothest carbon this yr.💙🎯
QUESTION: If using the same arrow…comparing the RX twin turbo and RX7 at 80lb….which would be faster? I used to have a Spyder Turbo 70lb and carbon Spyder 80lb. Had a huge arch using the Turbo compared to the laser my 80lb shot.
This is the down side of rotating mods. Cam specific or DL specific mods will always be at peak performance for that DL. Its a compromise, convenience vs performance.
@@michaelmangino9819 if it's a Mathews... the 28.5. If it's a rotating mod like hoyt. It would be whichever one puts 28.5 closer to the top of the draw length range. Meaning if Mod A is 23-29.5 and Mod B is 28 - 32.5.. then you would most likely want Mod A.

IDK my Friend. This bow felt the smoothest drawing to me vs both RX7 models. I bought the TwinTurbo, bcuz it draws back like butter at my 28.5in draw.. Then the other 2 carbon RX7 bows I had shot just prior.. So yea that's my feedback.. The RX7 and Ultra were harder of a draw cycle vs, This bow.
@@InsideOutPrecision I hunt with 480 grains in Pennsylvania, so I'm looking forward to running some numbers with my own RX7 here soon. Great energy for such a nice draw cycle. Thanks for all the time you put into all your content 👍🏼
It has to be the draw force curve being that it ramps up at the very end of the cycle but if it drew hard halfway in the beginning of the cycle the powerstroke would give totally different nutrients. It would be impossible to get more out of the can system than the effort you put into it .seems like Mathews truly is better with arrow speeds throughout different weights of arrows .
