You and Joe Satriani have to me been one of the absolute Nr one reasons that i started playing guitar 26 years ago.. Thanks for hours and hours looking and stealing from your amazing guitar playing.
Yep - a lot of people focus on his lead playing, but his rhythm playing, sound and songwriting are incredible.....he had the total package with that, especially in the earlier years.
Bravo. I was about to type something like this. There are many guitarists faster than EVH all day long. But how many have songs played in NFL stadiums and are still anthems to this day. So glad I got to see them in '84.
Well he also arrived on the scene in 78. Many shredders didn’t even exist yet. Via, Petrucci, etc all claim EVH as one of the guys that made them do what they do today. It’s no different than buddy rich inspiring a guy like Neil Peart
I don't care for his playing, but I'll admit he did bring shredding to the masses. Everybody knows what a guitar shredder is regardless of what they listen to and they all know the name Eddie Van Halen. My thing is just that he always played the exact same way with the exact same upbeat, pop phrasing. He and Randy Rhoads were the first true shredders and both developed tapping at the same time completely on their own. Eddie did it with his middle finger and randy more rapidly with the edge of his pick. Randy was better and his playing over a few years showed more musical ability and equal if not better technical ability. He never got to live a full life having died at 22 years old. If he would have lived he would have developed and grown constantly as a guitarist. Never playing the same thing twice. Eddie Van Halen stopped developing the second they blew up and has just played the same shit for 40 years. Still does. He has been addicted to drugs at times where he couldn't pick up a guitar and play a single lick. He and randy are like a model and an athlete. They both look like the pinnacle of performance, but only one actually is
I am a blues player suffering from a case of the slows, I bought a MAB4 and I am following your lessons, your picking lessons are helping tremendously. I feel good about my path, thank you!

That really was an awesome medley tribute to EVH and I loved how you really filled every song with solos and even doing the vocal parts. That very tough to do because you're playing non stop throughout the entire video. That takes endurance. Great stuff!
Thanks. I'm glad you liked it!
Always amazing. Skill, technique, showmanship, everything.
By far the best guitar evh tribute on UA-cam!
Thanks. I always loved the music of EVH.
Absolutely love the arrangement
WOW... amazing tribute played with respect and a little bit of madness. I love Jump keyboard part on guitar. You are great, I want to see you soon in Italy!
Amico hang in there. Viva Italia, evviva!!🎸🎸🎸🎸
@@markusantonio4866 Thank you so much! Reading these words makes me happy. 🙌❤🙌❤
This man is no doubt one by all great guitarist in the world. He's having so much fun i'm so happy for him and I enjoy listening to his guitar skills, he's accuracy blows my mind! very talented guy this Michael. I thank you for sharing the beautiful music you make and inspire guitarist that wants to play like you . Good job !
I love how he improvises parts on top of known solo pieces. Very creative
I wanted to do a tribute to the music in my own style. Pay homage and respect, not try to copy and re create what has already been done. Thanks!
such a gifted Guitarist and one of the nicest guys on the planet !!
Master Michael Angel Batio paying tribute to EVH! R.I.P. Eddie.
Always incredible congratulations Sir.Michael Angelo Batio That The Lord Bless You!
This is great! Please make lots of youtube videos.
Many more of these coming Mark!
@Scott DePasquale that would be great.
I like how the video says 1 day ago but your comment says 3 days ago!
@Scott DePasquale Malmsteen
One of only a handful who could pull this off & leave you speechless! WOW, I could listen to MAB play all night! One of the all-time best!
We all know Michael can play but his arrangements are absolutely brilliant. Michael has been doing this for several hundred years now, listen to the Freight Train track he did with Nitro. The mix is soso but the guitar playing is pure genius. If ever a record needed to be remixed, it is O.F.R.
Michael Angelo is a cat who never disappoints! I've never heard him miss a note. He's a great technician and great musician.
That's really rocked Michael greetings from Ireland I would love to see you cover some Gary moore,, thanks for sharing your genius
Would love that too!!
Gary moore is amazing
He makes it looks so easy. Thanks a million times sir. You inspire us all.
Me: yeah, I play a tonne of Van Halen stuff.
MAB: Hold My Beer....
Look at that sound quality of the guitar its amazing very nice guitar tribute
The solo from "JUMP" 😍
This guy from different planet.Just amazing everything technic, timing, sound.Unreal
Would love to see a tribute to Slash!
That could actually be awesome, thanks for the idea!
He could do that in his sleep. Easy work. Hahahahaha. The vanhalen stuff is awesome.
That is just SICK!
I was 13 when I saw no boundaries. I am 30 and have been playing ever since. I have guitars hanging around my house and owe my playing abilities to MAB.
Come on my channel and play some solo tracks on my music MAB. Love ya my man!
Thanks!
Incredible player Michael
I am 27, I feel like this dude is a time machine. :)
You and Joe Satriani have to me been one of the absolute Nr one reasons that i started playing guitar 26 years ago.. Thanks for hours and hours looking and stealing from your amazing guitar playing.
No matter how many times I see your guitar play
I always get inspired soo much
What Separates EDDIE Van Halen from all those so called shredders, is that EDDIE has style, uniqueness and his very own sound.
Nice job Paesano 😎✌
Yep - a lot of people focus on his lead playing, but his rhythm playing, sound and songwriting are incredible.....he had the total package with that, especially in the earlier years.
Bravo. I was about to type something like this. There are many guitarists faster than EVH all day long. But how many have songs played in NFL stadiums and are still anthems to this day. So glad I got to see them in '84.
Well said. Couldn't agree more!!!
They both look like the pinnacle of performance, but only one actually is
A shredder who plays with FEELING. So much subtle nuance. That right hand is responsible for so much of that gnarly tone too.
Hey MAB what song of Van Halen you gonna play today
MAB: "yes"
I am a blues player suffering from a case of the slows, I bought a MAB4 and I am following your lessons, your picking lessons are helping tremendously. I feel good about my path, thank you!
FYI: I own a Sawtooth drum set!
Interesting to hear Steve Vai say, he can't play your stuff 😂
I know, right?
@@MichaelAngeloBatioOfficial can't cook, won't cook... different style and taste overall:) I love and respect both!
you are the reason, why i will never stop training... playing this accurate, fast and full of soul at this age is so impressive. a real inspiration. keep on rocking forever! much love
RIP Eddie Van Halen a true guitar hero!
God bless you brother you’re an inspiration. I saw you in blackthorn 51 in queens nyc. You were great. Can’t wait to see you again “ live “ once things get back to normal.
Looking forward to the song “YJM”.
Thank you Mr. Batio! For giving us years of you extraordinary playing skills. I’ve been a fan of your since I was a teenager. Keep the videos coming please!
He actually absorbs calories from the fragmentation of the guitar strings. This is how he is able to practice for 25 hours a day 366 days a year and has done since the sun in our solar system had its first flare.
saw your lesson vid 2 decades ago, but you still make me to pickup my jaw from the floor. even EVH won't be able to play his songs like you did in this vid. two thumbs up, MAB. lml
Waiting......
@@MichaelAngeloBatioOfficial GOOD reason to celebrate Friday.🤘🤯🤘
Absolutely incredible
Grab in’ every note by the balls. The “original” guitar hero.
I remember seeing Michael Angelo Batio come to Hattiesburg, MS at Millenium Music center. I was just in middle school at the time and I was never much into metal guitar but I’m honored to have seen this man in such a humble setting. Thanks for visiting Michael 🙏 And come back by soon
Michael how much do u charge lessons just curious
This is not exactly question for youtube comment, try something more personal like fb or instagram...it's rude

You're getting sloppy, said by no-one ever
until now you are the reason why I still continue to play the guitar. I learned a lot of knowledge from you when you see the way you play and thank you for sharing how to play the guitar well. greetings from Indonesia .
EVH just called MAB asking him for some pointers 😅
Doubtful...
