Great analysis, so many of these comments below are obviously from casual fans who really know nothing about football but cheer on the Cowboys anyways.
There are two ways to generate pressure. There's having a top tier pass rushers and there's generating pressure through scheme. If everyone executes their assignments, Zimmer has shown that the plays are there to be made. The defense is designed for the LBs to make plays if the lineman plays the blocks and allows the LBs to flow. It's in the clips in this video. You see people engaged and Liafau running free, Overshon running free. D Law was a liability when he tried to play hero ball. Kneeland at least set the edge when he is in there against the run. While we are worried about Mazi, the people who should be on film every game are Donovan Wilson and DeMarcus Lawrence. D Law has consistently made stupid errors for years. Donovan Wilson has been terrible tackling and bad in coverage.
@@_DB.COOPER how old are you? You have nothing of substance to say. You have no film, no analysis..... Nothing but a trolling kids. And you don't know ANYTHING about who you're talking to. Waste of time.
I think as a fan base, weve all under estimated just how good DaRon Bland is as a player. Once he comes back, this entire defense changes. Opposing OC's not being able to pick on Caelen Carson and basically have free plays on 3rd down is everything. I foresee this defense coming together nicely a few weeks into Bland, Parsons and DLaws return.
I projected Mazi's improvement so I can give myself a 🏆😅.The competition may of been suspect but this was a huge improvement.Sometimes when your successful and taste it you can use your mojo w,ithout hesitation, which will still yet open up avenues for greater achievements! The Taz Mazian devil might still yet be acheived!
I get it we already categorized him alongside what ever the d end was crap I remembered!😢 taco Charlton i...... I'll choose to believ3 he heard the noise and his proverbial light bulb switched on! ITS SORELY NEEDED and I think we are due for a couple big surprises being our head of the pack drafting consistently good and high ceiling picks js
No no no I watched the game and one play he got blown off the ball back 2 yards and the only one on that play. Also didn’t even pop off the screen and when I did watch him he didn’t do much. Everyone over ran the ball carrier on run plays and he still seems more interested in o line men than RBs
@@youngformulaxxx3515 had an 88 rating in the game by PFF who watch every snap. In 25 snaps it’s very possible to have 1-2 bad reps. It doesn’t negate the other 20+ reps. He had 3 tackles, and a TFL as a run stopping nose. Do me a favour and look up Vince Wilforks numbers. This type of player is going to get you 2-3 sacks a year and make their bread doing things like taking ok doubles so the backers can make tackles. Case in point the rep where he drives the center back 5 yards, forces the RB to cut into a linebacker for no gain. He 100% was the playmaker on that rep and it design show on a stats sheet. He played like shit the two games before, at least give him credit when he turns in a solid performance. The guy was a late first rounder who they had a second round grade on and then Quinn thought it was smart to have the guy cut 30 pounds and try to be a 3 technique when they already had Osa. We totally stalled this guys growth by a full year
Not impressed by this win period. They barely won against a terrible team . This game looked like what the commanders / giants game should usually look like
the giants suck but their ol is probably one of the bright spots. also schmitz played OL in the big 10 probably played mazi before but to act like this is nothing i think you just want something to be salty about
@brenamal what are you talking about...? Mazi did well against one of the worst starting centers in the NFL... the game as a whole was a failure by the Cowboys... but Mazi didn't do anything great... what he did do should be expected against a bad center...
As a longtime fan this win was garbage. Not impressed the slightest by mazi he needs to do it for a whole season not just one game then we can be impressed. With the losses of Micah, dlaw and all the other guys we lost to Washington this season has a been an absolute nightmare. I was excited for the season but now I’m just disappointed we lost so much great talent & can’t stop the run if our life depended on it

Imagine how improved Mazi would be if Quinn hadn’t tried to turn him into a 3-Tech by losing a 💩-load of weight during his rookie season!
Hopefully, Mazi will continue with consistency.
Have a Blessed day.
Before we get too excited….gotta see consistency. I was excited to see him play because it was a marked progression.

The next 6 games will tell us how good Dallas will be.
I’m wondering if #61 on the Giants is just terrible? Literally the only player I’ve seen Mazi get the better of
Watch the 4th quarter against the ravens too. But yeah Schmidt isn’t a particularly good O-lineman.
Linderbaum is a good player
