I'm old enough to remember when you had to press the record button to record something on VHS (no timer). It's crazy what we can do as home users these days. As a non=Bambu owner I look forward to the next instalment. Thanks.

      Great you'll love your X1C.
Is it your first printer or are you just adding it your existing fleet of machines?

Hi, can you share YAML for final BambuLab dashboard? And also one question, do you have any idea why camera feed could be unavailable?
UPD: for camera feed need to be enabled LAN liveView mode setting

I have mine connected to a smart plug. It does exactly what you mentioned in the video, powers down when the nozzle gets to 40c and when the printer status is set to idle. It'll also power down if I switched it on and didn't print anything within 15 minutes. I have a WLED strip that automatically powers on/off when the printer is on/off and flashes red if an error is detected. Notifications are handled through Pushbullet so when the print is finished it will send a photo of the build plate (using an image from my wyze camera not the 1fps/wrongly angled disaster that the A1 ships with). Also have a smoke alarm above the printer which will cut power to the smart plug if it detects smoke. I came from 3 printers running Octoprint to the bambu A1 so HA integration was a must to get the same (albiet still restricted) functionality. If the HA integration wasn't there I wouldn't have bought a Bambu printer.

Mine is also connected to a smart plug and I was thinking of doing the same, but I am concerned what will happen when the printer updates firmware or something else that is not printing...

Hey, I find the camera functionality can be a little hit or miss but updates always seem to make a difference here. It also depends what printer you're using it with. Could I ask which printer you're trying to add?

@@skatepalooza @Dnx715 When you say it tells you it's "unavailable" at what stage does this happen, or do you mean it places an image tile but it's just grey and says unavailable?
I have found the camera view does seem to be semi unreliable, especially after first setting up, it's almost as if it needs to settle.
One thing I'd say is I've found (especially with the X1C) that if you go into the tile settings for the tile thst you're using for the video, go to "Camera view", and select "Live", that seems to make it more reliable.
Oh another thing if I didn't mention it in the video is, I'd suggest on your routers admin making sure your printer has a static IP address, and once you've set thst make sure Home Assistant is looking for the right one.
