Thank you for the empowering technique! Not everyone has 30k or more to redo cabinets! We have 30 cabinets and dozens of drawers and are intending to DIY paint on a strict budget, hence my questions on durability of the painted surface? Especially for high use areas..?. You inspired me to think it may be possible to achieve this project. Thank you 😊
Nice job. I always do the back first painting to get into the flow of it on the least visible side for practice. Then I'm in the rhythm when doing the front. I cant believe you didn't cover areas or tape off for painting. I'd never be able to be that neat.
I’ve never needed to 🤷🏼♀️ I’m not a super messy painter to begin with & I use mostly water based products so it’s really easy to clean up any drips & spills that do happen.
It's a resin paint , Rethunk Junk Paint by Laura. It was a paint that came out, and I learned of when wanting 2 do kitchen cabinets. I've painted tables, dining room table nd chairs, bedroom sets, bathroom cabinets, Even a leather chair, a bedroom cloth bench, lamp shades, ceiling fans, etc. I 4got how much I had done. Wow!
Those cabinets turned out amazing! Cannot wait to see the countertops and bottoms! I agree with the statement that the kitchen was nice before but this took it to a whole other level!! You and the hubs make a great team!!

Hi Megan 👋. The cabinets look beautiful. I thought the cabinets looked fine before you painted them. Then you showed the before and after and oh my! What a huge difference. I do love white cabinets. They just open up the space so much. Can't wait to see how you did the countertops. Way to go, Megan and Derek! Great team work. Have a great weekend ❤️
The kitchen was definitely nice before but it felt like a black hole because it was so dark. That’s why we kept the cabinets & just made them brighter instead of replacing them 🤗

What if the cabinets are varnished redwood, would this technique work?
Yes! Just make sure you degrease & clean the surface really well!
Beyond Paint works great with varnished redwood. Just be sure to clean with simple green or Zep degreaser to remove all dirt and grime to ensure the best adhesion. Hope this helps!
