    Thank you for the empowering technique! Not everyone has 30k or more to redo cabinets! We have 30 cabinets and dozens of drawers and are intending to DIY paint on a strict budget, hence my questions on durability of the painted surface? Especially for high use areas..?. You inspired me to think it may be possible to achieve this project. Thank you 😊

    Nice job. I always do the back first painting to get into the flow of it on the least visible side for practice. Then I'm in the rhythm when doing the front. I cant believe you didn't cover areas or tape off for painting. I'd never be able to be that neat.

      I’ve never needed to 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m not a super messy painter to begin with & I use mostly water based products so it’s really easy to clean up any drips & spills that do happen.

    Love you step by step video. Question how have the cabinets held up with not sanding them down? My hubby has been a painter/finisher for 15yrs & own his own painting company. And he always sands his clients cabinets down before rolling or spraying.
    Do they hold up the same if you do not sand? I want to paint our cabinets and if I do not need to sand them it would be amazing.

    Hi Megan,
    Thanks for sharing this, I’ve been watching a lot of “how to paint cabinets” because I want to update our bathroom a little bit and youtube recommended this video to me.. 😬
    What’s the finish of this paint? It looks matte on the video and the description of the product link says matte/flat too? Is it similar to chalk paint finish? 🤷🏻‍♀️
    And how do you clean it? Will it not fade using certain cleaner? I’m not sure if that’s too early to ask since you just paint yours but If you already did that.. I would love to know your opinion.. 😬😅

    • @lovinglifeasmegan
      @lovinglifeasmegan  Рік тому

      It is matte but doesn’t feel like chalk paint. I’m sure their website has information for what specific types of cleaners they recommend 😊 you can also add a top coat if you want a different finish or prefer a different cleaner than what is recommended 🤗

    Hi! My husband and I built shaker style cabinets from scratch. They are made out of 1/4" plywood. Do you think I could use this Beyond Paint directly on the plywood without priming? I know it says "all in one" but all the videos I've watched have painted over cabinets that were already finished so I'm a bit nervous to paint with priming. Any insight would be helpful, thank you for posting this video!

    • @lovinglifeasmegan
      @lovinglifeasmegan  Рік тому

      I would say if you were going for a deeper color then don’t worry about primer, but if you’re going for a white/light, you may want to use a primer to prevent any yellowing from the raw wood.

    • @BEYONDPAINT
      @BEYONDPAINT 10 місяців тому +1

      Hi there! Beyond Paint performs very well on plywood. Because our paint has a primer, bonder, and sealer in it’s formula you will not need to prime or sand. If you’re looking for extra durability after painting we recommend 1 to 2 thin coats of our multipurpose sealer. 😊

    I have heard about Beyond Paint, but haven’t had a chance to use it. Can’t wait, now. I also didn’t know to number the cabinet doors, because one door will not fit right on the wrong cabinet. I would guess a sage green or navy blue.

    It's been a few months since the paint. I am wondering if the paint is still looking good? We repainted our cabinets 4 years ago with Benjamin Moore paint, and they are now looking quite beaten up. So we are thinking of another repaint. Thanks.

      @@lovinglifeasmegan Thanks! Your video helps a lot. Most of the other people's repaintings are for almost bare wood type of cabinets. But we already painted ours beige white, and we kind of think it might make the job more difficult. Yours were in black, so we assume it would work on ours. Again many thanks for this video.

      They have a website if you wanted to check their FAQ section for any of your specific questions. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I would assume not since it says no prep.

      Beyond Paint works great with varnished redwood. Just be sure to clean with simple green or Zep degreaser to remove all dirt and grime to ensure the best adhesion. Hope this helps!
