Sad times again...this one hurts...we've lost one of the giants of music...In fact, for me and I think for those that know and truly love good music, Mr. Legrand was a beautiful force that is of the absolute upper tier. Not only did you have the writing, playing, conducting, arranging and singing ability, but it all played out through his mind- but MOST prominently with Mr. Legrand, through his heart...always with his heart. Life sure is a bittersweet journey. RIP Mr. Legrand...I'll miss your physical presence on Earth. TR
Nicely résumé of this great musical composer . On a personal note, I started playing by ear the piano under the influence of The Windmills of your mind song ,52 years ago. John Scott orchestra had then made a version of this great song easy for my earring habilité to understand how to catch the accord and melody. He will be miss by many. R i P

Maestro Legrand was only 60 years old at this Manila performance but he looked older. Ahh, Europeans! While Kuh Ledesma, 13 years younger, looked and sounded as fresh and young as in her Rama Hari days. Ahh, Asians!!
@@chambermuses7802 That's Doctor Silly to you. Must've been the home-brew. And by the way, lots of highly ept people have problems lip-synching, even Judy G who was usually good at it.
@@summermenLols so you think Legrand traveled to the Philippines from Europe only to lipsynch with Filipino singers? If you watch the other videos of this concert, he stated that he went to the Philippines because he discovered singers surprisingly unknown to Westerners.
OMG,ang ganda-ganda ng boses ni Kuh Ledesma iba talaga quality nya --- she's the only one with that kind of voice in the Philippines.
Thanks for sharing Michel you are really " le Grand" Vertuose " 😉👌👍

marvelous!!!
Magnificent!
Bravo!!!!
Somehow nothing beats the original. Can't stand the English version, while the French is more simple, beautiful and heartbreaking.

Sublime music, but they are both truly terrible at lip-synching.
They are not lip-syncing, silly. It's the video-audio sync that's off. How could you think people of this stature would be inept?

Funny comment you have. Its a live concert at the PICC Valentines day 2002

I was the Electric Bassist in this show and can confirm it was "Live".
