- In this video I share with you guys my 4 days backpacking trip to Meghalaya.
I was such a thrilling experience leaving everyone behind traveling alone.
I went to Root bridge, Rainbow waterfalls, Umngot river and Krang suri falls.

2 yrs ago I went to dowki and root bridge.. we had just one day so we literally had to run up the stairs after visiting the rootbridge. There's a view point there made entirely of bamboo sticks, the view from the top is breathtaking during sunset... Meghalaya is one of the best places not only in the north east but all of India

Also Shato i wanted to ask whether you went alone or with someone else. I mean is it safe for a woman to travel alone in Meghalaya. Did you face any safety concerns?
Women here are highly respected (we follow matrilineal system) so women are safe here.
