Hey THANKYOU FOR MAKING THIS I'm from India and I'm about to apply to CSM in A WEEK. Kinda nervous lol I wish i could have a conversation with you and get more tips about SOPs and get to know more about the process
Hi! I’m also am a yr 12 student from Australia and have done design and tech and visual arts for my HSC, and I really want to get in to csm fashion design. Both major works are collections of clothes, both sewing and knitting, and I was wondering how you recontextualised your mw into a submission, like did you just submit the folio straight up, or did you change it to fit the criteria?
Haaai! That's amazing! Definitely a great start if you did both DT & VA. I did submit my DT portfolio as it was and didn't change anything. The only thing that I did was a photoshoot of my design for DT and since I didn't do VA, I did a lot of extra drawings and paintings. Personally, I wouldn't do anything extra in regards to your major works because it shows everything they need from idea, development and execution. For your admission portfolio I would focus on doing something new and add fresh work to your portfolio since having more will work in your favour. One thing I would keep in mind is to create things that really shows your personality and what you'd love to do as a designer/artist - this will help separate you from the other candidates and will help you during the interview and make that process much easier. Hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to dm me on ig :)) Good luck!!
Hi! thank you so much :)) it looks like diagnostic mode is an art and design foundation. I did the International Preparation for Fashion foundation so a different one from diagnostic mode. I think its a new term that they created, I'm not familiar with it but it seems to be the same idea as the CSM foundation I also got accepted to. I went through the application through someone that came to a uni fair in Australia but looking closely at the application process on the UAL website is the most accurate I think. I hope this helps!
도움이 되었길 바래요 ㅎㅎ 질문이 더 있으시면 인스타로 언제든 dm 주세요~ blog.naver.com/hana_yoon/223297432492 www.pinterest.com.au/search/pins/?rs=ac&len=2&q=csm%20sketchbook&eq=csm%20sketch&etslf=6489
Hi! When I applied I didn’t have to submit a digital portfolio. But if you have to show your work digitally, I suggest making a real good digital scan of your work, if you have a lot of 3D work, do a professional photoshoot.

Hello i have only a handmade portfolio and iam scared now because do they only accept digital portfoilios?

I had a full garment that I physically couldn’t take to the interview so I got some friends that were good at taking photos and did a photoshoot
@@riellepark thank you so much for replying and thanks for the tips
