The best thing about this video is the realness. We have all organized our craft supplies just to find ourselves tripping over things on the floor three months later. You are also using different storage solutions for a variety of things. All power to the crafters that have 100 matching containers but for most of us that just ain't gonna happen. I know this is an old vid so it’s doubtful you’ll see it, but GIRL! You have no idea how much this helped me!! I have inattentive ADD & have been struggling for weeks to organize my craft room. The problem being I have a ton of clutter, boxes & bins & need to move some furniture pieces out to make room for my new bookcase/shelving units. So I’ve been needing to organize everything for when I move them in. But every time I try I work for an hour or two & feel like I’m basically just moving stuff from one side to the other but not making any real organization progress. I had such an epiphany watching this!!! I just need to get the shelving in THEN organize because I’ll have plenty of space to put everything. Do not ask me how I hadn’t realized this sooner! 🤦🏻♀️

All of my art supplies are under my bed, and most of the stuff is in rainbow order (ex. Colored pencils, oil pastels) and all of my sketch books, coloring books, and stickers are in my closet (tallest to smallest). My painting supplies are in a small drawer; coloring supplies in a clear plastic bin, but each separate category in their own container; crafting supplies in a small wooden case; scrapbooking stuff in a larger wooden case; charcoal and pencils in a large sewing box; inking pens and ballpoint pens in a smaller sewing box; and crocheting hooks, yarn, and a portable kit in an old suitcase. That sounds like quite the collection and I love to color coordinate too! I'm definitely going to need to utilize my under the bed storage once I move 👏🏼

I just recently did an art/craft supply declutter. I have tons of yarn and managed to get rid of several bags which allowed me to store it in a much more orderly fashion. I have a wonderful rolling drawer shelf I had jewelry making supplies in and I managed to clear out two drawers. In those I put my fountain pen ink and my watercolor supplies. Then I have all my paper and miscellaneous items on one of my shelves. The only thing that still doesn’t have a place is my acrylics which are in a small bin under my desk, I am destashing most of my canvases so maybe I should do the same with the paint. Idk yet, I am a watercolorist not acrylic but am having trouble letting go of “but I might need it.”
Mista Malika IF you don’t mind spending the time instead of the money, you could make four- (or three...) -sided boxes that’d slide into your cubbies, using inexpensive foam board. (For a bit more money, Hobby Lobby has Black Cored foam board and some colored versions with white core.)

Ruby Smith As a kid, I embroidered with my Grandmother, but I don’t remember needing anything more than a leftover Christmas card box to store our floss (wrapped around cereal box cardboard pieces) and embroidery hoops, that, when not in use, hung on a nail under the basement stairs. Omg, I FINALLY came across an awesome art organization video ! Hi Tina I am new to your channel ! I have been here looking for countless of hours looking at video after video in how to organize my various different art supplies in my bedroom next to a 6 foot table alongside with my new sewing machine. I thought of putting my art supplies next to my sewing machine or in my spare bedroom but thought that I can share art supplies with my sewing and my glue gun ? What do you think hun ? Ack, if you enjoy using your watercolors (or if you want to enjoy it but it isn’t behaving) please switch to something like Grumbacher Academy. Reeves really shouldn’t be used by anyone over 10, there is so much filler in it, Academy is a student grade that has good color and is not very expensive although there are other good inexpensive ones too. I suggest starting out with your 5 most used colors and building from there.

I fill ur pain, of clutter. I an my husband recently moved to our new house while having to fix/rebuild some of the house dew to the hose being vacant of 10yers an vandalized. So there is all the boxes from moving an shoved in one room. An all my art things is randomly packed, dew to having to move out of the old place in one week because the house was sold out from under us, when, we was told we had 4 months to move, an boom a week later the old house was baught. . So long story short I'm still living out of boxes while fixing this house.

I prefer markers of any kind in airtight containers. They seem to last longer that way.

I an my husband recently moved to our new house while having to fix/rebuild some of the house dew to the hose being vacant of 10yers an vandalized.
So there is all the boxes from moving an shoved in one room. An all my art things is randomly packed, dew to having to move out of the old place in one week because the house was sold out from under us, when, we was told we had 4 months to move, an boom a week later the old house was baught. . So long story short I'm still living out of boxes while fixing this house.
