- Quick guide I made to show you guys how to get rid of the awful curse effect in Dark Souls.
I made this guide once in the past and now I'm going to consider this one to be a remaster.

When I first played dark souls, I actually got curse by that first rat and the sewer connecting to undead berg. My friend just looked at me in total shock and told me I might as well restart the game ☠️
You shouldn’t! The Taurus deamon isn’t to hard, he shouldn’t even hit you once. The enemies are still easy in that point. You are really close to the Gargoyles! Literally on the path back you see the guy that can lift your curse!
@@syd1813 Haha too late. Restarting wasn't too much of an issue and I couldn't take a hit as a mage. Trying to beat it as a newbie would have been too difficult.

that rat can curse you? seriously man…this game is insane. out of all the bullshit things you can come across, curse is by far the worst

I been cursed for so long I forgot what it is like to play without getting one tapped. I had to fight a whole spider lady boss without getting touched and let me just say, I am pretty sure my death count from learning those tactics is over 200 deaths.
I’ve been progressing cursed for like 3 days 💀 I can’t afford that 6k souls every time

Thank you brother, I'm playing daughters of ash mod rn and got cursed done suffered through one boss and a really bad neighborhood(the lower undead burg) it was a nightmare
About rage quit this game when I read that after being cursed. Thank you good sir!
When I talk to the sewer merchant the purging stone is not available for purchase and i have 1/4 a health bar now so progression seems impossible at this point

Go to snugly the crow and give him a cracked red eye orb and he will give u a purging stone;)
Try save and quitting
After all the time I’ve played this I’ve never known there were stairs by the elevators in the church
Thanks to you, the curse was removed, and I fought a boss that looked like a friendly crocodile with a floppy belly. I nearly got killed. I hate to admit it, but the curse helped me learn dodge properly and avoid getting hit.
Y'all do depths before Undead Parish and Gargoyles? I do Gargoyles > Capre Demon > Gaping Dragon > Quelaag

10 years I’ve been playing dark souls and I still don’t know how you even get cursed.
Same and I have beat this game 5 times, had to look into this. Only thing I remembered was if you were undead you had 50% health.
i got it from seathe when i didnt know the good strat so i just walked into his belly and tanked the crystal meth he was creating from the ground
I got double cursed in a game so 1/4 health

Dude I hit her thinking she was a hollow waiting for me on the other side. Keep in mind I hit her 1 time and she ran away. How am I supposed to do this now? I don’t have a blessed weapon so I can’t kill the ghosts it’s just so annoying!
I believe you can request absolution from Oswald to return any NPC you might have accidentally hit. He's in the bell tower where you fight the gargoyles.

i got cursed in the depths and i am lost for beans so the chances of getting uncursed are almost zero (i am at the bonfire)

You know u can just buy the purging stones from old lady in the sewers going into undead burge, dude at top of bell tower after gargoyle fight and u can drop the cracked red orb at Prickle pee the crow nest and get 2

Fun fact: on ps3, it almost unpossible to get uncured it pretty difficult, also the ps3 version is so different then the others
No? It’s the same thing just better graphics.
A fresh install on a PS3 from disc with no updates has a lot of differences. Day 1 you got less souls for bosses and a few other things are different nothing major I don't think getting uncursed would be the same process easiest way was still purging stones from Oswald @@mortifilius

Go to the npc after the gargoyles boss fight near Andre the black smith and you can reverse your sins which will make all npc that are hostile friendly again ;) (it's expensive tho)

M owen after you kill the boss and ring the first bell just go back down the two ladders and then he will appear if your still having trouble you then search where to find oswald of carim guide :)
