    Can this be used for C14 dating? I don't understand the difference in function between AMS and MS. Thanks for showing

      +Chris Stuber Thanks for watching the video and great question. Mass spectrometers (MS) do not have the same sensitivity that a Accelerator Mass Spectrometer (AMS) would for individual elemental isotopic determinations. A MS would not be able to distinguish between Carbon 14 and Nitrogen 14, but an AMS would be able to.
