There’s nothing like kicking a man when he’s down. Despicable. The people at the top should be thoroughly ashamed Jonny needs all the support he can get. Emotionally and financially so he at least knows his wife and children will be able to manage in the future. Jonny please go somewhere and scream and cry and shout to get a bit of relief. My thoughts are with you as will so many viewers of the shows you were on. ❤❤❤

I have no words for how tragic this is. The diagnosis, the fear, the repercussions on the people he loves, the money. Having to contemplate the woman you love with another partner and not seeing your kids grow up. Devastating. Always liked seeing him pop up on the TV. I wish him all the luck in the world as he goes forward.

Listening to Jonnie's story, the production team of the programme "A Place In The Sun" appear absolutely ruthless and unfeeling, but as they say "what goes round comes round" , so hopefully they will be "rewarded" one day accordingly. I absolutely loved watching Jonnie presenting "Escape To The Country". Even when I felt down, his screen energy, so positive, always cheered me up. Would love to see him again on the screen. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and had immunotherapy treatment for 15 months and I thought I’d beaten it. It returned with a vengeance this February and I’ve now been diagnosed as stage 4 as it has now spread to my lungs and liver.
I feel so sorry for Jonnie and his wife and young family, what you need is positivity in your life in order to help fight the cancer, it’s so easy to fall into a depressive state. Channel 4 or more accurately ‘Freeform’ have absolutely screwed him, both mentally and financially.
I shall keep fighting and living life to the full for as long as I can.

I wish the production office crew would feel ashamed of themselves now. They deserve it after how inhumanely they reacted. It's all business to them, isn't it--not a spark of caring for someone's devastating situation or the family's grief. If there is any justice in this world, the show won't survive their wrong-headed dealings.

Very sad news of his passing, such an inspiration and shameful treatment by his past employer. Having had stage 4 lymphoma but now thankfully in remission I honestly found it mentally tougher down the line than after first being diagnosed, there’s so much going on initially it’s only after it all really sinks in. Thoughts very much with his family.

I have so much respect for you man and your integrity, honesty, strength, and humility are a beacon for all of us. This getting no where went on for around 8 months so he eventually went to see a doctor at a private practice. He arranged for immediate appointments at the hospital for a colonoscopy & scans. Results found cancer.! Around 2 weeks later he went in to have part of his bowel removed. What would have happened if hadn't saw that private doctor? Or didnt have enough savings to pay for one.?x
