This dudes a legit genius. It's refreshing to see someone with top notch mic skills, a solid gimmick that blurs the line between a character and a real person, while backing it up in the ring.
I love how he remained in character, I wish more wrestlers would do this because it’s very entertaining. MJF did it the right way too, he remained in character but didn’t over do it so it’s still believable and he seems human.
Yes, absolutely, it makes sense. I had the exact same thought. I've never actually seen a guy do it quite like MJF does here. This kid is extremely special.
I love the rapport between these 2. Every MJF interview I've watched, he feeds off the interview with his amazing character. This man is only 23. A wrestler's prime is around early to mid 30's. He still got a decade to even grow further and he's already this good character wise. God damn.
MJF is a POS 💯 and is not half the wrestler as Dewayne "The Rock" Johnson, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels that's facts 💯!!!!!
MJF is awesome and is prime example that kayfabe is still alive and doing well. He is in a league of his own, and I have a feeling if booked properly he is going to go really far in his career. He is the guy that everyone loves to hate, and that's the type of heel we need in this modern era, because let's face it all the heels especially in WWE aren't even made to look like heels. Which is why I say MJF is in a league of his own.
54:06 Classic Sam & MJF moment..MJF reminds me of Macho Man is the sense he is always in character. Even with the boys in the back. Only his parents and close family and friends know the real him.
This kid is the best heel in all of wrestling. Maybe the best wrestler in the business period. He keeps his gimmick going on every podcast/interview. I hate when heel wrestlers do interviews and drop their gimmick and act like teddy bears. This guy is 🔥 the whole time.
I agree with the mystery part. Wrestling is lacking it majorly. Guests get paid to be on the show?. That explains the length of this chat. Not heard the Steve Austin podcast, I am about to though :)
Im a big fan of MJF he is ALWAYS in character
yes but i think this is just how he is, which makes it even better
Maybe he's just an actual douche ;)

Robert Austin yeah but that fatso complains all the time, and he doesn’t talk, he just yells like a spoiled brat.

He's a good kid. Most natural heel ever.
I love everything about this guy.
What I like about this interview, is he's weaving in and out of character... while staying in character, if that makes sense.

This kid is awesome. AEW should push him as top heel right out of the gate.

This dude's awesome on Being The Elite so far!
The crazy thing about seeing this in 2022 is that he did everything he said he was gonna do and more. He’s getting better and better.
The day Stone Cold Steve Austin get his payback on young MJF, I hope it's on video. MJF is the kind of young heel that's very easy to hate.
I love LOVE that Austin put him over with the whole slap incident. Lol Austin knows real talent when he sees it.

Hate the Miz comparisons, this guy can talk
The Miz is a great talker too. But this guy is just completely different on another level
but miz can too........
Yeah one is shackled by poor scripting, the other has creative freedom.
Miz is also a great Talker
The reason he is a jobber now is coz
Vinnie Mac likes big sweaty heels on Wwe
He is definitely not better than the miz in the ring and I would say he is a little better than him on the mic

Lol. The interviewer can keep up and get along with MJF. 😂

This might be the best interview where we get real answers out of mjf or will ever get from him until he's retired hats off to Sam

This kid is gonna be a big star some day. He was one the best parts at Double or Nothing.
He is a combination of the Miz, Chris Jericho and Paul Heyman all rolled up in one. The future is very bright for this guy.
MUCH better than Jericho or Miz. He did in 1 year that it took Miz YEARS to catch onto. This guy just GETS IT.
We will be looking back at this video like Sam interviewing a young Chris Jericho
A young ric flair*
I know this is old but it's my first time watching.... Sam is the perfect interviewer for MJF
The best version of MJF in 2019
This dude is gold! He reminds me of heel EC3 from the TNA days.
But sadly EC3 was send to the main roster just to get squash by Braun strowman and chasing the 24/7 title
It’s about damn time Sam. First episode I’ve watched in over a year.
And I only came for the scarf.
When he said "Cody Rhodes" when asked if he was excited to fight anyone. I popped. This man is going to be the FACE of AEW.
i hate this guy already... good job :D
It makes me angry I never heard of him before double or nothing, but I'm all in on this guy! Amazing heel work
MJF is the best heel in wrestling today. His promo skills are outstanding , and he can wrestle.
It's almost like he has a passion for the business and treats it with respect and not a circus like "The Elite Douchebags" do.
Like the chemistry between Sam And MJF. He wasn’t trying to one up him like the guy in the Rasslin podcast😂😂
First time I've ever heard MJF praise someone genuinely, gee he must have some time for Curt Hawkins and Pat Buck
Lol i love the continuity MJF keeps from that Kenny Johnson documentary
seems like he has mellowed alot compared to before his time off, very talented and entertaining and clearly a student of the game
MJF made me watch wrestling for the first time in 15 years.
He reminds me more of EC3 than The Miz.
exactly
He is like the perfect combination between Bobby Roode and EC3. And, he's better than them.
@Stone Harper how about alberto del rio but not hispanic.
I have always liked the miz but this kid does it better. The miz kinda comes off like a guy trying to be the man. I feel like MJF dont have to try.
@Michael Kimmel nope..
