Fascinating you make it easy to understand the bee keeping process. Keep up the good work. 😊
Thanks!
well done Alex... you are truly amazing....new to the hobby and you nailed it...you explain everything so well and I would imagine a lot of people that have been thinking of keeping bees have now taken the plunge....good on ya fella.. looking forward to buying my first jar of honey from you !
The bee keeping is fascinating and you’re understanding of it is already impressive, you’re simply a natural when it come to nature. Excellent as always Alex 👍👍
Your Bee keeping videos are so interesting, loving them!
you make everything so clear and understandable
Great video Alex 👍
You've certainly become very proficient in keeping bees.
Stay safe.
Great stuff Alex. Smear a few drops of Olbas oil on your nitrile gloves, it deters the bees from stinging.
Happy world bee day, keep doing a great job for the environment !!
I really enjoyed that escapade into bee keeping. I never knew it was so fascinating and that your never too old (mid 50's) to learn something new. Thank you.
Good for you brother! Healthy looking hives.
Hi Alex, I'm enjoying this series of videos and it's great to think that hopefully what you're teaching us could inspire other youngsters to take an interest in bees which is so important because without bees we couldn't exist. I'm looking forwards to your first jar of honey and no doubts you'll be entering your honey into a few local shows?
Thanks Matthew! :)
great video mate, such a fascinating hobby and so important for pollination.
I have ZERO interest in bee’s and yet even I found this really interesting and accessible - awesome video mate
Good to hear! :)
Dude this video flew by. That was great contact and entertainment
You make the insight into Bee keeping fun and interesting, I'll probably never keep bee's myself but certainly have a lot more understanding and respect for what they do and their yearly cycle...nice job Alex...
Changing subject...going back to your van conversion to being able to sleep in it, I have recently found out through working away and wanting to camp and sleep in my van, rather than a hotel....is that if you want to stay on a camp site to use their facilities, showers etc., many are not allowing me to sleep in my van as it is not a registered camper van conversion, basically not been tested and issued a certificate to say the conversion is done right, ie:- correct ventilation for sleeping in and cooking in etc, I don't think many ask if it looks like a camper van but when I turn up in my standard looking Transit saying I will sleep in the back on my carp bed they are turning me away due to their ins reasons, if I put my bivvy behind my van and sleep in that, then thats fine....you may already know this but thought I would just share what I have come across lately travelling around the UK, Cheers Alex...👍👍
Awesome, would love to see your beekeeping year.
So basically, get the bees stoned! Brilliant video Alex, I admire how calm you stayed whilst surrounded by stingy things!
I do wonder how the bees would react with cannabis smoke. 🤔
It's so enjoyable first follow the fishing and now watching your new adventure as you yourself learn along the way.
🐝, 🚐,🍄,🥕 🎣 and knife making have all been really good and never dull.
Thanks for watching!
At the age 48 I’m leaning loads about bees from you give your self a pat on the back can’t wait to see you draw the honey my favourite bit is spinning the honey 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yayyyy, I can't wait to watch you get your first harvest!!!
Absolutely fantastic!! You are so passionate about your bees!! You are Making it so understandable to keep bees. Awesome.
Thanks Scott!
Another great video. I'm really loving the mixture of content, one week van travels, the next beekeeping and then a bit of occasional mushroom foraging for good measure. Well done Alex! Keep up the great work 😃

this dude makes me smile. the enthusiasm.....
Makes me smile to see this comment! 😊
Wow love your bees series! I’ve learnt so much watching your journey 😍
Bee keepers kid gloves Alex, they are cheap to buy and will protect you from the stings, will also stop the bees from crawling up your sleeves, regards ,Will.
Really enjoying the beekeeping, so interesting to see the process as you learn it.
It’s fun to be able to share the journey!
As a guy who don't like bees because they always sting me haha.
I enjoy when you have new video and its getting interesting.
keep doing what you love Alex your videos are amazing!
So, Alex...are you planning on making HONEY Mead??? I watched UK Utuber, The Welsh Viking, last week, and he went to a company in York that makes Honey Mead... Takes you thru the process, loads of Honey, ck it out... from the USA, love your channel ...👍👍

That looked like it went very smoothly. Well done Alex
Thanks James!
well done Alex that what ive got to do find my Queen bee and mark her great video :)
Good luck with it!
Great video Alex
Thanks!
Ive heard that if bees are bring pollen to a hive then there is a good chance there is a queen as there is brood to feed.
Really interesting Alex. You will probably get yourself a few more bee keepers the way you’re going 👍 well done.
This is fantastic. Well done bees!
I love your beekeeping journey, keep up the good work Alex👌
Brilliant, I'm learning so much here. Love it 😁
Great to hear Chris. It is super interesting learning about bees!
Alex . U should pull your gloves over your sleeves it stops the bees getting up into your suit . And the white loop your thumb goes into to allow the sleeve to stay up .
Brilliant video
Fantastic video, such enthusiasm
Alex you really get my noggin going m8, awesome ep and phenomenal editing btw. Your story telling is captivating
i love your fascination towards the bees, it makes us views get excited as well. i love bees myself, i love how perfectly they operate their community, everyone has his/her own job, they are amazing. the only thing keeping me from keeping bees is i dont really like honey unless on a beautiful piece of salmon or duck ☺ but that wouldnt justify keeping thousands 😂
but anyway this is another amazing video, you were a very nice explainer and made it look easy and your admiration sticks to the viewer.
we are (or at least i am) grateful as a society to you and the other beekepers out there for doing the work to make sure that they thrive.
i do my bit and i dont mow my lawn, i saw meadow flowers on it instead and plant tonnes of flowers in my veg garden.
Really enjoyed watching this. Fascinating.
Seeing Alex happy makes me happy, how silly is that!?
That's one happy beekeeper! Love this content Alex
Thanks.
can't wait to watch this. I find your hobbies so interesting, look forward to seeing your van conversion soon , you should come to Cannock chase it's perfect for some van camping and walking
And spotting big cats................
Alex this content is Brilliant! Who knew how incredible Bees really are, keep up the good work mate 🐝🐝🙌🏻
wonderful! this makes me want to do beekeeping myself! love it. immersive knowledge for beginners! 🐝 🐝 🐝
Great to hear!
Always fascinating - Thanks Alex !!
Cheers John!
Cool video Alex, GREAT Tumbnail btw
Really enjoying these bee videos Alex, very interesting 👍
I’ve always thought the smoke interfere with the bees chemical signal so they get confuse by what order to perform (like danger , attack, or what ever ) 😁
Grats on finding the queen , probably like finding wild mushroom 😂
Phermones not chemicals yes it dose but also as Alex says they gorge themsels with honey witch also restricts them from bending there body into the sting position ( try bending over after a big sunday dinner )
Good work. Happy world bee day!
Cheers Mark!
Id like to try a chunk of that comb Alex looks so tasty lol you make it look so easy your learning fast
I'm so jealous. Good work boyo.
Cool video Alex, I love watching your beekeeping vids. All the best big man.
Thanks Mark, more to come! :)
Fascinating stuff once again Alex!! Crazy how I’ve watched you in videos from Anglers Mail to Carl and Alex and now on your own venture and still find every video just as fascinating! Cheers mate!
I didn’t think bee keeping would be so interesting
Birch has several, shall I say, 'medicinal' properties. Amazing is a superlative used far too much but Bees are 🐝

I'm watching this while on holiday and my good lady wife who, today, has actually been stung, you've guessed it, by a bee, keep up the good work Alex, your smashing it and what a nice wholesome guy you are
Just love watching your vids Alex they are really enjoyable to watch can't wait to see the next one 💯👍
Thanks!
I would be nervous the scent of the marker would have the bees reject the queen, but then remembered ants are more drawn to act based off of pheromones
Great video pal much love
Im getting some bee's next season. Im a little late this year . Im looking forward to you putting up content when you extract your honey. Great content alex 👏
not too late, still have loads of time
Love the videos cant wait for more adventures in the van!
Van videos coming soon!
@@just_alex looking forward to it :)
Great video.
Another good video Alex, makes me want to have a go at keeping bees in the future.
Can I ask, what is the difference between the bees' "stores" and honey that you will harvest? Is it just that the honey they put in the super is excess and the stores are what they are actively eating? Will they only begin to fill frames in a super once they have filled their stores in the living area of the hive?
Thanks and keep up the good work 👍
I was curious about this too
I went from thinking I wasn't going to enjoy watching this to being completely intrigued in a few minutes, great stuff Alex 👍
Awesome to hear. Thanks for sticking with it!
@@just_alex Alex did i miss it in the video or have you dropped this video on world bee day by coincidence 🤔
Thats mad . watched it all . nice to see you interested and excited in your bee,s I can wait to buy some honey from you . I hope it will be called Just Honey

@@just_alex That's it then .I am putting an order in

The beginning when you shake the swarm you can see the queen walk in. Is she marked yellow? Or white.
Really interesting, well done Alex
Thanks Paul.
Great bee vid there always very interesting :)
Also I love bees 💓
Honestly one of the most refreshing Channels
Thanks so much!
Mine swamped last week, but thankfully we were able to retrieve them but it looks like it was a cast swarm where the virgin queen leaves with the swarm. I’m inspecting tomorrow so will find out then I guess!
Best of luck :)
