This song was on TV the day my daddy died in 1973... I will never forget this song...

I like that song too and you wanna know something? He's right, we are one big family. Family of life and of God. You know, when they showed it on TV years ago, I never understood what they meant. Well now I do.
Thanks Pterixa for uploading it. Coincidentally, I do find Veronica's voice kind of annoying.

Now what would be funny if somehow Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang were bussed to Riverdale school district and met Mr. Weatherbee and Mrs. Grundy as they got older, and the teacher Miss Othmar from the old school (one who goes WA-WA-WA-WA-WA-WA-WA) found a nearby Wawa convenience store and started ordering a shorti and ciabatta breakfast melts with her coffee

Long before 'political correctness', there was good plain old human decency. That's what this song celebrates.

I mean a lot of stuff most would consider politically correct is just basic human decency but go off I guess

I haven't heard this song in years! I remember hearing it on the Archie cartoons in the early 1970's, and I always liked it. Great message, and a catchy tune.

An Archie song with a message. The other was Mr. Factory.

Thanks for this song Mr. Goldberg; Sorry you got ripped off by the industry that you supported and served.

This is one of my all-time favorite songs! I'm a huge Archies fan! Did anyone else notice that the image of the four hands locked together in a square (1:25-1:29) is actually based on an ancient Tibetan peace symbol? Fascinating!!

This song (& the other 32 Giant Jukebox songs) all written arranged and produced by Neil Brian Goldberg - the original eco-culture warrior. Can find him now on UA-cam. (New stuff) Who keeps deleting these honest messages. What's your trip?

The wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa part is in there because that is the way this song was made at that time.

Fondly recall this from around 1969-70 when I was 5 years old. This aired on a Saturday morning when my Dad was about to take me to downtown Charleston (SC). Exactly what for, I don't remember. But I do recall seeing this in the Archie cartoon that morning before we left.

i wonder why they don't show cartoons for kids with morals knowadays

    • @tdachel1

Because of those on the left. Morals have no place in their world. We need to pray that they open their eyes, expand their minds and warm their hearts to the love and light of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. God bless.

Ron Dante. There was no Veronica. The Archies were a studio band. Ron Dante was the voice (lead and background). He did not play any instrument on the tracks. I played rhythm guitar and was 'leader' of every session, and I also sang some background. I ran the sessions - did the musical arrangements and all of the mixing.

@NBG999 I also wrote all of the 32 Giant Jukebox songs, for which Entertainment Rights is refusing to pay me my royalties. I wrote 'We're One Big Family' I wrote 'Comes The Sun' & Mr Factory' & 'Little By Little' & T^he Lonely Cricket' & 'Love Went Round' & Sweet Saturday Night' - all of them. SHAME ON ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS A DISGRACE TO THE BUSINESS.

Lehnerd: Sorry bud, you got it wrong. When it came to doing the vocals there was no one in the studio but Ron Dante, the engineer and me, Neil Goldberg. I produced all the Giant Jukebox tracks, and Ronnie and I did all the vocals, mostly Ron of course.. Now the new DVD is out, and Entertainmant Rights, who bought up the Archies rights claim they do not have to pay me any royalties. A lawsuit is in the works.

Yes, Ronnie was waiting to do an overdub of the background voice, he threw this in as the instrumental passed - I was there as the producer and the writer.
