a better way to do this would just be having a custom 2s game with the person who thinks their rank should be higher in a lobby of the rank he think he deserves. example; a gold thinks he deserves plat, put em in a custom match of plats. you also should let them use their own accounts too, since the first guy in gold looked like the controls were pretty wonky

Just coz you can cope in a higher lobby doesn’t necessarily mean you deserve that rank…I’m champ 1 and have beaten GC players but also lost to low diamond players I’m aware that I don’t play at the speed to keep up in a GC lobby and that I’m very capable of wiffing and conceding to much worse players but most people would be like ‘oh yeah GCs? I beat one of them in cas once yeah they had 999 ping but I’m totally good enough to hang in that rank’
I always wondered what it would be like to be in an SSL lobby, I have played against a few in my time since I'm gc 1 but it's not the same playing against 1 as opposed to a team
Been dragged into SSL lobbies by friends (as d1). Absolutely got destroyed. The gameplay is much faster, there’s no time to think about a play as you’ll just get scored on, and mechanically it’s amazing to see how skilled they are. I totally stuck out like a sore thumb and I think maybe touched the ball a handful of times. It was a great experience though and motivation to continue training!
The GC1 account that was used was 1mmr off of GC2 (his MMR was 1574 and I believe GC2 is 1575), which makes me believe that there was a possibility that the whole lobby was low GC2. It was a tougher matchup for the C2 lmao
From what I've learnt about this plats, diamonds and champs can hardly play and get to those ranks by constantly typing in chat and looking at the scoreboard.

Making people quadruple commit has to be pretty nice. But just like Magic said, there's no need for fancy shots until Diamond 3-C1, maybe not even there, rotation, gamesense and well placed shots/powershots are more than enough to reach Diamond
I've reached d1 with just gamesense and rotation, and of course, playing together as a team, even if I solo queue. That's why you don't need to worry about not being able to freestyle or anything.

Honestly you can easily tell that the ranks these people think they deserve do not. watching the c2 play on the gc account for example, that c2 played like a c2 whereas the wannabe looked like a d2.d3
I find it hilarious how much ppl talk about mechanics as reasons they deserve higher ranks especially when below champ. Im champ 1 with trash mechanics, only things I do with some real consistency are flicks and air dribbles and even then I still mess them up sometimes. Just gotta be fast not overcommit and play off your teammates playstyle.
