BEST performance of the NIGHT!!! People said David Archuleta was the best - yes, he was good but we knew that already. She brought something new and it was amazing!!
I agree, I could definitely see her own Broadway. Idol contestants have done it before, and I really wouldn't be surprised if we see her there in the next few years.
Excellent performance! The Idol singers don't usually command my attention - but Syesha put a performance together so complete that she stole my attention right from the start and held it all the way to the very end! Impressive!
I searched for this on You Tube because I had downloaded it from Itunes for the 2008 Season and really liked it. I wanted to see her perform it again, and I'm glad I found it here. This was a new soon to me, and Syesha did a great job. I am glad to here she will be in a NYC Production That's where she should be,
Wow! Seems as though this song was written w/ her in mind. I'm sure Sir Andrew probably watched with a little tear in his eye. It was sexy, sassy, and super!
Okay, that was REALLY awesome. I don't like American Idol in general (it's hard to watch it as a classically trained singer), but she was awesome. That was a great performance.
wow she should have won.....i dont know y she didint...... she will do better then the others tho....like the two that won they arnt going to go as far as her......good job Syesha
Syesha is a gorgeous girl -- beautiful face, great figure, and she's a great performer when she feels she is allowed to be (as she was here). The only thing I don't love about her is that her upper range often sounds whiney or strained. Something about her tone in the high notes doesn't sound wonderful. However, even with that, she sings circles around the other two women left, and has the best voice of all the women this season. Probably the best technical voice overall, except maybe for D.A.
There's no denying that Syesha is sexy and has a great voice. And this was her best performance to date. But I still think she's hitting some notes off key just a tad at various points throughout the song.
okie even though im an archie fan, if archie didnt win, syesha shouldve cuz i totally agree with bdiddy86, and its the same for archie. but cook doesnt have that spark.
you might want to listen to the soundtrack of a real artist and then, you might not think so highly of his performance...just not his gig although he gave it a good go
well usually fans are gonna vote for popularity, but still, how is someone like jason castro popular...b/c of looks? 1st he's not that "pretty boy" or whatever peopel refer to him as, and everyone loved luke menard's looks,,b ut he didn't even make the top 12. so i dont get what all the hype is about that guy
okay i know they problably dont know any musical songs, and im a geek but who choose this song for her? its written for an diesel and an electric train that both just crashed and lost the race (and girl) to a steamtrain. This sounds awfull, and the chorus? dont get me started

LOVE IT!

A shining moment for Webber and Starlight Express.
Excellent performance! The Idol singers don't usually command my attention - but Syesha put a performance together so complete that she stole my attention right from the start and held it all the way to the very end! Impressive!
This is so incredibly natural for her!
GO SYESHAAA!
best performance of the night!
Definetly a GREAT performance. I don't really take the time to ever vote, but she got 25 votes from me tonight.
Wow this is unbelievable...I hope she goes on broadway..Though Cook sang music of the night really well, Syesha definately got the broadway feel down.
she was really really good
and her listen performance on tour is awesomego check it out
oo i like her rendition
Holy smokes- she rocked the house- go Syesha!
She's my favorite girl - I don't know why people don't like her more! She's hot, she can sing... I really like her.

Loved this performance^
she really opened up in this performance
she had so much fun and felt so comfortable
this is for sure her style
best of the nighT !! no doubt!
she totally got the idea of BROADWAY for this one.
she understood the whole concept of the challenge!
i love it
She is really good. I'm just wish she would have rocked out an Evita song particularly "Rainbow High".
I agree! The best two performers of the night were on the bottom two. Sad, popularity is becoming the criteria for voting instead of talent.
Wow! Seems as though this song was written w/ her in mind. I'm sure Sir Andrew probably watched with a little tear in his eye. It was sexy, sassy, and super!
she so gorgeous. I would, without a second thought, and she can sing!
That would be AWESOME and I would totally watch that. Unfortunately, I don't know how interested the rest of America would be in it. T___T
Okay, that was REALLY awesome. I don't like American Idol in general (it's hard to watch it as a classically trained singer), but she was awesome. That was a great performance.
she did "the rock" eyebrow. she's cute and she did a great job in this performance
ALW writes the most wide range of msuci of any composer ever
She was so good in the book of mormon!
what bothers me is that the people whom actually put forth the effort with their performances end up in the bottom number of votes
she started a beat early!
somehow she reminds of Vonzell from Bo Bice's season
wow she should have won.....i dont know y she didint...... she will do better then the others tho....like the two that won they arnt going to go as far as her......good job Syesha
I loved it! She was amazing, soulful, funny, sexy, perfect, perfect, perfect!

@marianasouth yes i thought so too!
She can definantly do broadway!
shes beautifull tonight, eat your heart out Rihanna

omg!shes frkn AMAZZZING! i dont understand why shes always in the bottom!!
how do you determine if she is full of herself, because she does good? man you all need a reality check
okie even though im an archie fan, if archie didnt win, syesha shouldve cuz i totally agree with bdiddy86, and its the same for archie. but cook doesnt have that spark.
Shit, she was goood! No other way of saying it, but she kicked ass!
WOW! Great vocals, look out broadway.
that guitarist guy she puts her arm around has deviating eyes... if you catch my drift.. or his
confident, yes.
egoistic, no.
I don't understand why she was in the bottom two last week. :(
you might want to listen to the soundtrack of a real artist and then, you might not think so highly of his performance...just not his gig although he gave it a good go
that's not even close to david archuleta or david cook
reminds me of the princess and the frog
well usually fans are gonna vote for popularity, but still, how is someone like jason castro popular...b/c of looks? 1st he's not that "pretty boy" or whatever peopel refer to him as, and everyone loved luke menard's looks,,b ut he didn't even make the top 12. so i dont get what all the hype is about that guy
Wasn't Lloyd impressive, he virtually predicted exactly how each performance would go, without the bull shit you usually get from the mentors.
okay i know they problably dont know any musical songs, and im a geek but who choose this song for her? its written for an diesel and an electric train that both just crashed and lost the race (and girl) to a steamtrain. This sounds awfull, and the chorus? dont get me started
Sounds like she started off too early...
SHE'S IN THE WRONG PLACE!!!!
yeah except she's probably got the least starpower...and u are forgetting that this shows has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with talent....
