Donner DED-200 EDrums - Unbox and Review 2023
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 чер 2024
- This video unboxes and demos the Donner DED200 electronic drum kit. has all the features you need to start playing and recording with ease. I show how it stacks up against the Roland TD-11 and a few thoughts on how it could be improved.
Thanks to Donner for sending this to me for me to give my honest opinion on it as well. They did not pay me, or force me to 'play nice'. These are my thoughts alone, I hope they help you out to see if its worth your money.

Thanks for sharing this video. That helps me a Lot!. Greetings from Switzerland 🎧🥁🥁🥁🥁
hey @pabloarmasb, thanks for your kind words! and Hello from Canada!
A great review, thanks for your time and for posting.
thx for watching!
Where can I buy the 10” snare to replace the 8”? Donner says they don’t sell it.
Hi, is this drum easily foldable to be placed near the wall when not in use? (space-saving) Thank you
Most kits are, and yes, this one folds up pretty nicely when you move a couple drums out of the way.
Please tell me i'm not the only one who initially thought your monitors were in the fireplace
it is a fireplace lol i have the same one
Once assembled, how much floor area does it take?
I want to say about 3’ x 3’ but I didn’t measure it.
@@DarkRoastRecording Thank you
Do you need a driver for it to connect to ezdrummer?
No you dont need a driver, just connect with USB and the kit will show as a midi device
I guess they don t put the USB cable not only for saving costs, but even it's not easy to figure out how long could be the distance between the kit from the pc.... an average 1,5 mt cable is mostly useless
agreed, but knwoing that, they should include 6ft USB cable for sure.
The machine gunning when playing fills totally kill the module for me. Everything else looks great for the price.
This is the problem I see with Donner, too. I keep watching videos hoping I won’t hear it, but the machine gunning is definitely there. The Simmons Titan 50 seems to have more of a natural sound. Did you decide on a kit to buy?
@@keithinator5874yeah, I got a Roland Td07. Obviously a few hundred more than the Donner but lightyears ahead in sound. Easy to record audio from too.
@@revivedfears thanks for the reply… I’m going to look into that drum set!
@@keithinator5874 if you plan on using drum software with a DAW then I'd definitely recommend getting the Donner or similar cheap mesh kit since the module isn't of concern. If you plan to mainly use the sounds from the module since it's easier with less steps to actually start playing, then don't skimp and get the absolute best you can afford. A rubbish sounding module really kills the enjoyment with edrums.
@@revivedfears For ease of use, and for practice, I plan to use the built-in sounds. The Donner definitely doesn’t cut it in that department. The Titan 50 seems to have much better sounds, but not perfect. In my price range though, I’m leaning toward the Simmons Titan 50. I like the sound of the Alesis Nitro Max, too, but the build quality seems pretty terrible.
Those are sounds from 20 years ago!
Drum sounds can be many thousands of years old. Still sound great.
drum sounds are in the ear of the beholder :)
I don't recommend donner ded 200 Edrums. It will bore you in some week and it will give many problems. I am saying this because I have this drum set. I can't even play anymore because it doesn't take every hit you do and the kick doesn't work anymore.
