- A tour of the Meadow Lake Campground in the Salmon National Forest near Leadore, Idaho. I have fond memories of Meadow Lake Campground and the Gilmore area of southeast Idaho all the way back to Boy Scouts in the early 70's. It is a fantastic campground nestled into the east slope of the Lemhi mountains about 22 miles south of Leadore, Idaho on Idaho 28.
You'll find a companion article about the campsite on my website

Wow TR that Meadow Lake campground is quite remote. And for July 10th was pretty much abandoned... Thanks for taking us with you!
Thanks for watching!
Very cool. I grew up in similar country I would be quite happy a bit lower down where you were for night comfort and happy to go up and fish during the day. Yo have the perfect road for it too!
Yea, that would be a good plan. It does get very cold up there at night. Close to freezing most nights. Take Care Gary!
What’s the type of rock all over the campground
It's all granite. The area is part of the Idaho batholith. Thanks for watching
Is there much wildlife up there? Bear, sheep, goats or anything. It looks beautiful.
Yes, there are all those critters. And elk, deer, etc. You'll get to see them right in the campground occasionally.
