    ordered my bike on 8/24.. took a week to deliver. bike arrived in heavy duty carton packaging. took me 1 hour to put the bike together ( attach handlebars, adjust derailleur, adjust front and rear brake levers.
    couldn't test drive it because of the rain. finally, got a chance to test drive it today. rode 19 miles and came back 69% charge. mostly a mix of PAS and throttle. i am 229 lbs and 5'8. i changed my PAS to 0-5 with 20% increments. excellent bike.

    Just put mine together yesterday. I ordered from Amazon, and it took about 5 weeks to deliver when I did the preorder. I am 5’8” and it’s tough to stand over. The saddle is at it’s lowest setting, and the bike is HUGE. I love the styling of the bike, the brakes are excellent, and the fat tires are definitely sweet. I live in San Francisco, and have yet to take it for a test run (waiting to slime the tires and get a rear view mirror and headlight for night riding). If anyone is interested in how this thing takes those infamous San Francisco hills, I will update this comment when I take it out. Great review. There’s very limited information on these, and this review helped me make my decision to buy it. It was packed well, and took less than one hour to do the final assembly by myself. It came with all the tools necessary to complete the set up, out of the box; they even threw in a complete set of alllan wrenches. There was no damage in shipping. I can’t wait to get this bike on the road! Safety first! 🐰🎸🎶🤝✌️

      @@AnatoliyStrilets I'm pretty sure you'd be fine on this bike. I haven't updated because I'm waiting to get some customer service. They changed the display so you can't get into advanced settings, and my bike won't go over 14MPH with throttle only, and it only works on PAS 1. It used to be able to be set for up to 7 levels, but mine was locked to only 3 PAS settings. I had to do work to align the brakes, and then the crank set had to be replaced - The pedals stripped out, so I just put a better crank set on.
      It's a cool bike, but so far I'm disappointed. I had to order a go-pro to make a video for WALLKE customer service. It is too dangerous to do that here in the city with one hand on the handlebars and another trying to get the display within view. I'm waiting on a chest mount so I can make them this video to prove that I'm not doing something wrong. They said the technician can't do anything without a video demonstration of the issue. There's no parking lots where I can do this, so I need to do it in the street with traffic. I had to get a mirror to see behind me, as well. It's dangerous here without one.
      Anyway, as soon as I can, I'll make them a video and see what they say. Apparently, I'm not the only one to complain about this. There's another reviewer where a comment said exactly what I'm saying. I hope to figure it out, but we'll see.

    I am finding this body style with multiple company names on it, with and without fenders and 2 different rack styles. Even with reviews from this year the person doing the review is not disclosing that multiple sellers are slapping different names on the same style e-bike. This means there is nothing unique about the bike when referring to the name of the competitor. I have the same bike in all black with the name Ride 66 R5 on it.

  • @ddanter30

    I really like the bike and the design and the fact that it's got the 26-in by 4-in rims and it's a folding bike. The only thing I kind of take issue with is the power. They claim that it's 750 w, but it only has 62 nm of torque, most 500 watt bikes Have somewhere around up to 65 Newton meters of torque. Most true nominal 750 watt bikes have 80 nm of torque, And that's a significant difference like 25% difference. So I'm thinking that the claim of 750w, maybe peak power instead of nominal power which is a huge difference. I am a big guy and I need to lose a lot of weight and I plan on purchasing a ebike, but I like to have one that has a little more torque, other than that this thing is perfect though.

    • @electrifiedreviews
      @electrifiedreviews  4 роки тому +2

      hey ddanter30! it's pretty difficult to verify the power output aside from the markings on the motor casing and comparing it to other electric bikes with the same power output. that being said, the likely reason this has 62 Newton meters of torque compared to say 80 Newton meters (which is the average output for Bafang motors) is because, if i recall, this is a gearless hub motor and those generally have less torque than a geared hub motor. however, the advantage is being able to use the w-pas tech for regen braking to increase range. we'll keep our eye out for other full-size folders that have more power and get some reviews up on those!

      @@electrifiedreviews thank you for your response. I still like the bike I have not pulled the trigger as of yet because I'm looking at this bike and one or two other bikes. That's it I'm a large guy and me getting this bike to help be more active and to lose some weight and because I am a big guy at the torque figure is important to me. You're rationale does make sense. 👍

    • @johnw614
      @johnw614 3 роки тому +2

      Wish i had read your comment before purchasing. You are correct. The 750 w of Wallke is nowhere near as powerful as a 750w Aventon Aventure with a Bafang motor. The Bafang walks away from it on flat or uphill.
      The display on the Wallke inaccurately gives higher speed than the bike is actually going. Its mediocre for power. Looks great, and has horrible service after the sale in my experience. Check the Electric Bike Review website forums under the category Known Issues by Brand for real user reviews including company response and service. Eye opener.

But after much research I am getting more interested in more expensive models and this one has the bigger wheels, looks bad-ass, has all the features but my main concern is comfort. Wondering how upright this bike can be ridden. Bar adjustment or different bars perhaps or even lowering the seat in respect to the bars?

      hey NH GUY! so the difference between a Class 2 and 3 and is a bit tricky. technically it has to do with max speed, but i don't believe "max speed" is very clearly defined. what i mean is, you can electronically adjust the top speed, just like a limiter in a gokart or quad, but the motor is still capable of reaching higher speeds if it is "unlocked." hopefully that makes sense. honestly, what we really need is standardized badges that can't be removed to define the class, similar to registration on a car.

    I am ready to buy one and I am going to do the same thing. Send one email and wait for a week. If there is no answer I go with my money somewhere else. Thanks for the video.

      check out Electric Bike Review forums section for "known issues" on all types of bikes. The reviews are great, but the companies are sure to send these guys working bikes. What happens when they dont work? Find out about after purchase service.

    my only constructive criticism, instead of havin drone and music playin while u ride, have a true pov angle and we hear the bike while u ride it. we can hear the bikes and u can tell us how it feels to u A U ARE riding it.. 😀

    Dude.... I don't understand. It's like you were the company salesman, not a reviewer, you just listed the specs, without a comment about the quality of the experience, the joy (or not) of the ride, how does it compare to your 1Ride Up for the same money would be relevant, I mean, come on...Really sad....

    Wallke has changed their specs without notice, the bike no longer has WPAS battery regeneration or " recharge " capability as most reviewers had on their models. I took delivery in May 2021. Another issue with thd bike is that its a LOT slower than the display says. 5 to 7 mph slower! And, the bike now has no functioning speedometer or odometer if you are not pressing the throttle, or not pedaling with the assist on sending power to the motor. So if simply coasting down a hill not adding power, not only is tgere no regen, but you have no functioning speedometer or trim counter adding miles. In other words, if you are coasting downhill, not pedaling and no throttle, the speedometer reads zero mph. Very disappointed with this bike based on expectations set from youtube videos showing now extinct features for 2021. A person in Electric Bike Review forums, under "Known Issues for Wallke" guessed Wallke may have run out of direct drive motors and substituted a geared drive motor without changing the controler or display, which he says would give all these symptoms with the speedo. Wallke is not willing to "service" these issues or correct them. They just reply, this is how the bike is! Buyer beware, and if you want any buyer protection, I reccommend to stick with US dealers.
